White particles on nipples

White particles on nipples

Breasts are not only a symbol for women, but also a part that represents sexiness. However, breast diseases also concern many women. Sometimes you find white unidentified particles on your nipples. First of all, don’t ignore it like you would a pimple on your skin, because it may be due to poor hygiene or breast disease. You should especially be careful to prevent breast cancer. If in addition to the growth of white particles, the breasts are also accompanied by pain and a hard feeling, it is important to find out the cause.

1. Smell

In the later stages of lactation, the amount of milk secreted is large, and is accompanied by a lactation reaction. Even if the nipples and nipples are not squeezed hard, milk will be secreted automatically. If the milk dries up, it will form a scab around the nipple holes to form white granular milk scale.

2. Hair follicle blockage

During breastfeeding, prolactin is secreted vigorously, and at the same time, the sebaceous glands around the breasts are more active than at other times. When the milk secretion is large and the nipple environment is humid, sebum secretion may not be discharged smoothly, so the white particles on the breast are likely to be caused by folliculitis clogging the pores.

3. Mastitis

If white spots appear on the nipples and breast pain worsens, it is likely that milk stasis and mastitis are causing duct inflammation and narrowing. Do not pick the nipples with needles or other objects, otherwise the blockage will only make the mastitis more serious.

4. Fat granules

Mothers should not think it is strange to have fat particles on the nipples. Many breastfeeding mothers are worried that their babies are not full, so they feed them a lot of high-fat lactation-promoting soups. In addition, some of the irritating foods they eat every day have a high fat intake. Many mothers often let their babies sleep with the nipple in their mouths at night. Various bad habits can easily cause fat particles to grow on the nipples, resulting in blockage of the nipple pores and milk ducts, which can cause milk to flow out unsmoothly and lead to various breast problems.

What are the early symptoms of breast cancer?

1. Many diseases can cause changes in breast shape. If there are dotted depressions in the hair follicles of the breast skin, orange peel-like or dimple-like changes may appear. The most common include fibroadenomas, followed by fibrocystic hyperplasia, sarcomas, breast cancer, and fat necrosis.

2. When a lump appears in the breast, be very careful! Slow-growing and painful lumps are mostly benign hyperplasia or inflammation; rapidly growing lumps with unclear boundaries need to be examined immediately.

3. If you feel something in your breast that is firm, smooth, has clear boundaries, is easy to push, grows slowly, and you don’t feel anything else, it may be an adenoma.

4. The color of the nipples and areolas becomes darker, accompanied by severe itching.
