What fruits can’t be eaten during confinement?

1. Orange

4. Chilled Fruit

Chilled fruits are fruits that have been frozen for a long time. Everyone likes to eat chilled fruits in summer, but breastfeeding mothers must eat fruits at room temperature. Fruits taken out of the refrigerator must be left at room temperature for half an hour before eating, otherwise if the breastfeeding mother eats too much cold food, it may easily cause diarrhea in the baby.

5. Pear

Pears are cool in nature. Eating too much pears will damage the spleen and stomach. Therefore, pregnant women, as well as those with weak spleen and stomach, vomiting clear saliva, loose stools, and cold abdominal pain should eat pears with caution. People with cold lungs should avoid eating too much pears. It is okay to eat steamed pears with rock sugar, which can moisten the throat, relieve cough and eliminate phlegm.

6. Cantaloupe and Hami Melon

Muskmelon and Hami melon are cool in nature, can promote endocrine and hematopoietic functions, quench thirst and promote diuresis, can neutralize dry and hot constitution and help defecation. Because it is cool in nature, it is not advisable to eat too much every day.

7. Fruits that are too cold or too hot

Fruits can be divided into cool, warm and hot fruits. Most of the fruits in summer are cool fruits, such as cantaloupe, watermelon, melon, pear, kiwi, mango, grapefruit, etc. Eating too much cold fruit can easily lead to indigestion. If a breastfeeding mother consumes too much cold fruit such as watermelon, it can also easily cause diarrhea in the baby.
