How to increase breast milk

How to increase breast milk

For newborns, the best nutrition comes from the mother's milk. From birth to about six months old, they can completely consume the mother's milk for normal development. Therefore, whether the mother has more milk is crucial for the newborn, as it is the source of dependence for the baby's development. So how can we increase breast milk? To increase milk production, you can eat more milk-producing foods, such as pig's trotters, pork ribs, etc.

How to increase breast milk

1. All nutrients contained in breast milk come from the mother's body. If a breastfeeding mother is in a state of malnutrition for a long time, this will naturally affect the normal milk secretion. Therefore, breastfeeding mothers must supplement adequate nutrition. At the same time, it is best to prepare more soups, which can also play a good catalytic role in the secretion of milk.

2. After the baby feeds, the prolactin in the mother's blood will significantly double. This is because when the baby sucks the nipple, it can promote the mother's pituitary gland to secrete prolactin, which will increase the mother's milk secretion. The more often the baby feeds and sucks, the more breast milk he will naturally produce. Of course, the baby must finish drinking enough milk from one side each time before he can feed from the other side. At the same time, during breastfeeding, mothers should drink more soup, drink more water, and eat more foods containing hair.

3. For mothers who have just finished secreting, due to the dual influence of physiological and environmental factors, their emotions generally fluctuate greatly and they may often be depressed, which will also affect the secretion of breast milk. Relevant experiments show that when a mother is depressed, the amount of milk secretion will decrease sharply.

What can breastfeeding mothers eat to produce more milk?

1. Lettuce: Lettuce is a good milk-promoting food. It is divided into two types: leaf lettuce and stem lettuce. Leaf lettuce is also known as "lettuce", while stem lettuce is called "lettuce". Lettuce has a good lactation effect. Breastfeeding mothers can use lettuce to cook pig's trotters. This way of eating can not only reduce greasiness, but also be fragrant and delicious.

2. Tofu: Tofu has the effects of invigorating qi and harmonizing the stomach, promoting fluid production and moistening dryness, clearing away heat and detoxifying. It is also a lactation-promoting food. Boiling tofu, brown sugar and fermented rice in water and drinking it can produce milk.

3. Peanuts: Peanuts can be used to treat spleen deficiency, nausea, edema, leucorrhea in women, anemia, various bleeding diseases, dry cough, chronic dry cough, and postpartum lactation.

4. Peas: Peas, also known as green beans, are sweet and flat in nature and are very rich in phosphorus, containing about 400 mg per 100 grams. Peas are beneficial for urination, producing body fluids, relieving sores, stopping diarrhea, and promoting lactation.

5. Water bamboo: Water bamboo is eaten as a vegetable. It has a sweet, fresh and refreshing taste. It is not only delicious and nutritious, but also contains carbohydrates, protein, vitamins B1, B2, vitamin C and various minerals.

For breastfeeding women, the milk supply is relatively small at the beginning, so women who are worried about having less milk should not worry too much. As the baby grows bigger, the milk in the woman's body will also increase. At this time, women should pay attention to whether their body's nutrition can keep up. Only when the mother's body is healthy can the baby's body be better.
