How to know endocrine disorders

The endocrine system is a very important system in the human body. It will be affected by environmental factors, nutritional factors, emotional factors, etc., which can lead to endocrine disorders. If a woman has endocrine disorders, she is likely to gain weight, have a bad temper, and in severe cases, lead to infertility. Men with endocrine disorders are more likely to suffer from adrenal and thyroid diseases, so problems must be discovered and resolved in a timely manner. So, how do we know if we have endocrine disorders? Let’s take a look at the judgment method below.

1. A series of skin problems. If the skin is dull, spots appear, and the pores are enlarged, women may develop pimples on their faces, also known as acne, before and after the menstrual cycle or when they often stay up late. This is the result of endocrine disorders causing excessive sebum secretion, which cannot be discharged and blocks the hair follicles. Even if you use skin care products to remedy the problem later, it will be of no help.

2. The emotions become agitated, fluctuating greatly, the temper becomes bad, and one becomes very impatient. Take women in menopause for example, they are very typical because women in this period often have mood swings, are easily irritable, and sweat easily.

3. Hair loss: Estrogen imbalance caused by postpartum women, menopause, oral contraceptives, etc. may lead to thinning hair, alopecia areata, and seborrheic alopecia. If you experience a receding hairline, obvious baldness on the forehead, or thinning hair on the top of your head, you need to go to the endocrinology department of a hospital for treatment.

4. Obesity problem: More and more people are obese nowadays, mainly because they eat too much high-fat and high-calorie food, do not pay attention to exercise, do not have a good work and rest routine, and do not eat on time.

5. Abundant hair: Both men and women produce androgens and estrogens in their bodies. As long as there is excessive secretion of androgen, both men and women may experience symptoms of excessive hair growth.

6. Menstrual disorders: A common symptom of endocrine disorders in women is menstrual disorders. Common symptoms of menstrual disorders are unstable menstrual cycles, excessive or insufficient menstrual flow, light or dark menstrual blood, and even blood clots. The main cause of menstrual disorders is endocrine disorders.

7. Poor sleep quality: Women with endocrine disorders often suffer from insomnia. Even if they fall asleep, they are prone to dreaming and have a lot of dreams. They have no energy, are easily fatigued, and have symptoms of pain. Long-term poor sleep quality will have a certain impact on women’s daily lives.

8. Infertility: Any dysfunction in the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis may hinder the establishment of a normal ovulation cycle and lead to infertility.

9. Frequent fatigue: Frequent unexplained fatigue, accompanied by weight gain, appetite fluctuations, and abnormal bowel movements. The most common cause is hypothyroidism. Some women feel listless during menstruation, which is also related to abnormal hormone secretion. A US study found that melatonin secretion in women decreases during menstruation, making it difficult for them to fall asleep and feel listless during the day.

10. Bad temper: Women with endocrine disorders tend to have a bad temper. Because of the influence of hormones in the body, patients will feel irritable and excited, so they will easily lose their temper over trivial matters. Moreover, even if you know that you have a bad temper, it is difficult to control it.
