Because the vulva is close to the urethra and anus, and is rubbed by the legs during movement, various inflammations can affect the vulva. Female vulvitis, vaginitis, vulvar leukoplakia, local friction irritation and other reasons are all important factors leading to vulvar redness and swelling.

Gynecologists say that female vulvitis refers to inflammation of the skin or mucous membrane of the vulva. It is divided into acute and chronic types. Female vulvitis can be caused by many reasons, the most common ones are simple vulvitis, fungal vulvitis, infantile vulvitis, and vulvar inflammation caused by Trichomonas infection.
