What causes body aches before menstruation?

A woman's body goes through many changes when her period comes. Some people may experience lower abdominal pain, chest pain and swelling, back pain, and weakness in the legs. Symptoms of general fatigue, lack of energy, and drowsiness. These situations should be directly related to women's bodies. For women with better physical fitness, the impact of menstruation is relatively small. Not many unusual situations will occur. Why do I feel body aches before my period?

(1) Before menstruation, hormones in the body change and different degrees of premenstrual syndrome may occur. Generally, there will be soreness in the legs, swelling and pain in the breasts, and mood swings. These are normal phenomena and will generally recover naturally after menstruation. It is recommended to relax, keep a good mood, and pay attention to keeping the abdomen warm.

(2) Get enough rest. If the symptoms cannot be recovered after menstruation, you need to go to the hospital for examination in time. During menstruation, body aches may be caused by overwork or lack of rest. It is recommended to rest in bed more, avoid strenuous exercise, eat cold food, spicy food, seafood, etc., avoid staying up late, drink more warm water, and eat more warm food. You can also exercise more often to enhance your resistance and keep your body healthy.

(3) Some women experience severe pain before each menstruation that lasts for two weeks. Others experience periodic headaches, fever, vomiting, bleeding, diarrhea, body aches, joint pains, etc. This is called premenstrual syndrome. The exact cause is still unclear, but it is generally believed to be a woman's response to the normal monthly hormonal changes. Body pain and joint pain during menstruation, according to TCM theory, are caused by insufficient body vital energy, imbalance of the Ying and Wei systems, malnutrition of the tendons and veins, or retention of cold and dampness, which take advantage of the opportunity during menstruation to cause pain. Generally, the pain will subside after the menstruation. The treatment should focus on regulating qi and blood, and harmonizing the Ying and Wei systems. You can use Chentong Powder with added ingredients: 10 grams of Angelica sinensis, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, 6 grams of Roasted licorice, 10 grams of cinnamon bark, 10 grams of Duhuo, 10 grams of Achyranthes bidentata, 6 grams of Allium macrostemon, 15 grams of Millettia reticulata, 10 grams of Viscum album, and three slices of ginger, decocted and taken for six doses.
