Women infected with HPV will have symptoms

The hpv virus mentioned here is the human papillomavirus, which can cause proliferation of the squamous epithelium of the human skin and mucous membranes. For women, infection with the hpv virus is also quite terrifying. This is because it is a necessary condition for the occurrence of cervical cancer, and even if infected, the symptoms are not so obvious. Therefore, in addition to paying attention to isolating the causes of infection in life, it is also best to have regular gynecological examinations every year. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of women infected with hpv.

1. How is HPV transmitted?

The hpv virus is contagious. HPV is a sexually transmitted disease that is contagious and highly infectious. It can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, intimate contact, shared toiletries, and shared quilts. If you live together for a long time, this is likely to be transmitted indirectly through indirect channels, so you must pay attention to the details of life in your daily life.

However, the symptoms after infection are not obvious, the incubation period can be up to 3-4 months, and the course of the disease varies. Some can disappear in a few months, while others do not disappear for many years. If it is not cured for a long time, cancer may occur.

However, although its symptoms are not obvious, it can be discovered from some "clues".

2. Women infected with HPV will have symptoms

If a woman is infected with the HPV virus, she will experience some symptoms. It usually manifests in the vagina, clitoris, labia majora and minora, and cervix. The perineum and perianal skin of some female HPV patients are easily affected. It occasionally occurs in the armpits, groin, submammary space, and mouth. Most of them have symptoms such as vulvar itching and increased vaginal discharge. The lesions appear nipple-shaped, cockscomb-shaped or fused into cauliflower-shaped. They vary in size, and some are fused into pieces or appear in plaques.

3. How to detect HPV infection?

Since the symptoms are not obvious, is there any other way to detect HPV infection? Hospitals have direct HPV testing programs, and the test results are divided into negative and positive:

Negative result: means no HPV infection;

A positive result means you have been infected with HPV, which increases your risk of cervical cancer.
