What does uterine calcification mean?

Many people do not know what uterine calcification points are. In fact, in this case, if the condition is not clear, further examination is still needed to know the cause. It is necessary to undergo B-ultrasound examination and detect the uterine cavity. Only after a series of examinations can we know what the problem is and prescribe the right medicine.

examine

1. Ultrasound examination

In China, B-ultrasound examination is a common examination method, and its accuracy rate in the examination of uterine fibroids is very high, about 93%. It can detect the number, size, location and internal condition of the fibroids. In medicine, it is not only used to examine uterine fibroids, but also to examine ovarian tumors and pelvic masses.

2. X-ray examination

This method of examining uterine fibroids uses the method of fibroid calcification. When fibroids calcify, consistent spots will appear, or a shell-like calcified capsule will appear on the surface, or a rough and wavy honeycomb shape will appear on the edge of the fibroid.

3. Detection of uterine cavity

Generally, intramural fibroids and submucosal fibroids will cause the uterine cavity to deform and enlarge, so using a detection needle to detect the uterine cavity and comparing the detected results with normal conditions can check whether the uterus has fibroids. However, some fibroids do not cause deformation of the uterine cavity, so this method of examining uterine fibroids often leads to misdiagnosis.

4. Hysterosalpingography

An ideal hysterogram can detect the location, size and number of submucosal fibroids. This test is generally used for early detection of uterine fibroids.

5. Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy can directly observe the lesions in the uterine cavity and accurately determine the location of the lesions. The examination results for small submucosal fibroids are also very accurate. Generally, such small fibroids are not easy to detect, but hysteroscopy can overcome this difficulty and can also remove small submucosal fibroids. Therefore, hysteroscopy is a very good examination method.
