What should you pay attention to when you first get pregnant?

For some couples who want children, pregnancy is a great thing. However, for some women who have just become pregnant, they may feel anxious or confused because they do not have enough knowledge or knowledge about pregnancy attempts. Therefore, for pregnant women who have just become pregnant, they must pay attention to certain things. Let us now understand what to pay attention to when you first become pregnant.

1. Replace high heels and uncomfortable shoes

It is best for expectant mothers not to wear high heels during pregnancy. When walking, their feet should be firmly on the ground and their body should not lean forward or backward to avoid falling. One thing I want to point out here is that pregnant women should wear shoes with flat heels rather than flat soles. When people walk, their heels usually touch the ground first. Wearing flat shoes during pregnancy cannot maintain the arch of the foot to absorb shock, but instead causes muscle and ligament fatigue and damage. Therefore, shoes with heels about 2 cm high are more suitable for pregnant women.

2. Reduce radiation from household appliances

1. Mobile phone. It is recommended to use special headphones to answer calls, try to keep the phone away from the waist and abdomen, and it is best to take the phone out of the room when sleeping. When a call comes in, you can first move the phone away from your body, and then hold it closer to answer the call after the call is connected.

2. Microwave oven. Stay away from microwave ovens. If you need to use one, let your expectant mother or family member do it for you.

3. Hair dryer. Try not to use it, and if you have to use it, don't put it close to your head.

4. Electric blanket. Using an electric blanket during early pregnancy can increase natural retention. It is recommended to preheat in advance, turn it off when you go to bed, and unplug it.

5. Photocopier. When in use, the expectant mother's body should be at least 30 cm away from the machine.

6. Computer. Studies have shown that the radiation from the electric coils on the back of the computer is stronger than that on the LCD monitor, so expectant mothers should avoid working behind others.

7. Do not install electrical appliances or plugs at the head of the bed.

3. If you have the following symptoms, please consult a doctor immediately

1. Severe vomiting. Severe morning sickness can affect the expectant mother's absorption of nutrients. Long-term morning sickness can cause adverse reactions such as low blood pressure, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalance in expectant mothers. In severe cases, it can damage liver and kidney function and even affect the development of the fetus.

2. Abdominal pain. If you experience abdominal pain in early pregnancy, especially lower abdominal pain, the first thing you should consider is whether it is a pregnancy complication. If the symptoms are paroxysmal severe lower abdominal pain accompanied by spotting, it may be threatened abortion; if it is unilateral severe pain in the lower abdomen accompanied by spotting and fainting, it may be ectopic pregnancy. If the above two situations occur, you must go to the hospital immediately for treatment. It is not advisable to just stay in bed and rest for the fetus.

3. Bleeding. Once pregnant, normally the expectant mother will not experience vaginal bleeding. If it is a small amount of intermittent bleeding, commonly known as spotting, if there is spotting but no abdominal pain, you can rest in bed first. If spotting does not stop or increases after rest, you should go to the hospital immediately to check whether the embryo is developing well.

4. Increased body temperature.

Fever is a common cause of teratogenesis. The higher the fever and the longer it lasts, the higher the teratogenicity rate. Therefore, during the early stages of pregnancy, avoid places with unclean air, such as supermarkets and other public places. In addition, high-temperature work, saunas, hot tub baths, etc. are also causes of high body temperature, so expectant mothers should try to avoid them. Once the body temperature is too high, take antipyretic drugs under the guidance of a doctor in time.
