Why do I feel dizzy and panic when I am five months pregnant?

Pregnancy is a very special time. During this stage, many people's bodies will experience some unexpected situations. First of all, some people will experience pregnancy reactions in the first three months of pregnancy, such as nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and palpitations. However, when they are five months pregnant, they still have such symptoms. This may be related to many reasons.

Why do pregnant women feel dizzy, panic and sweat?

This is a symptom of short-term hypoglycemia. Pay attention to your diet and nutrition.

It is recommended to eat more foods rich in protein, iron, vitamin B12, vitamin C, such as pork liver, egg yolk, lean meat, milk, fish, shrimp, shellfish, soybeans, tofu, brown sugar and fresh vegetables and fruits. It will not have much temporary effect on the baby, but you should pay attention to adjust it in the future.

According to what you said, you feel dizzy, have palpitations, sweat, and become unsteady after eating, which is very uncomfortable. The symptoms will gradually improve after lying down and resting for a while. This is mainly caused by temporary lack of blood supply to the brain.

The main way to relieve this is to not eat too fast, and to rest for a while after eating before standing up. Most of the time this situation does not occur. In addition, you are five months pregnant, so pay attention to strengthening your nutrition and regular prenatal check-ups.

This happens during your pregnancy, so it is recommended that you pay attention to it.

First, you need to go to the hospital for a routine blood test to see if you are anemic. Most of the time, if it is due to this reason, you can take some blood-enriching medicines suitable for pregnant women.

Anemia, hypoxia, hypoglycemia and hypotension can cause the above symptoms.

If her blood pressure is low, we recommend that she get a good rest and increase her nutrition. Normally, do not go to crowded or oxygen-deficient places, and do not queue, register, or see a doctor on an empty stomach.

What causes dizziness in pregnant women?

Dizziness is mainly caused by insufficient blood supply to the brain.

1. Pregnant women with low blood pressure and cerebral ischemia usually faint when they stand up suddenly or take the elevator. In the early and middle stages of pregnancy, due to the formation of the placenta, blood pressure drops to a certain extent, generally 1.33-2.67 kPa lower than usual, which is physiological. For pregnant women with pre-existing hypertension, the drop in blood pressure will be even greater. When blood pressure drops, blood flow to the brain will decrease, resulting in insufficient blood supply to the brain, causing cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, which in turn causes dizziness.

2. Eating too little and having low blood sugar. Pregnant women of this type sometimes experience dizziness, accompanied by palpitations, fatigue, and cold sweats, which usually occur when they eat less. During pregnancy, I ate less because of the pregnancy reaction - vomiting. Eating less will cause low blood sugar. Blood sugar is the raw material for muscle cells and brain cells to produce energy. When blood sugar is low, cell energy is reduced, leading to fatigue, dizziness, cold sweats, palpitations and other discomforts.

3. Improper posture compresses blood vessels. This type of pregnant woman usually has an attack when she is lying on her back or sitting on the sofa watching TV, but not when she is lying on her side or standing. This type of dizziness in pregnant women is a condition called supine syndrome. In the late stages of pregnancy, due to the enlarged uterus, when the woman lies on her back or sits lying down, the heavy uterus presses on the inferior vena cava behind it, preventing blood from returning to the heart from the lower body. The amount of blood returning to the heart is sharply reduced, and the cardiac output is reduced, resulting in reduced blood supply to the heart and brain, causing dizziness, chest tightness and other discomforts.
