Four major hazards of sponge bras

Four major hazards of sponge bras

Bras are a type of clothing that women wear every day. They are very important to women, and every woman owns several bras. There are many types of bras available today, and women may even feel dazzled when choosing one. Many women will first look at the style of the bra when buying it. In fact, when buying a bra, you should look at the material, lining, auxiliary materials and size of the bra.

1. The ingredients of sponge bras are harmful to the body

Let's take a look at the origin and composition of sponges. Sponge cups are made by foaming the following four raw materials: 1. Polyols or polyethers 2. TDI toluene diisocyanate 3. Foaming agent 4. Various chemical additives. The main ingredient is TDI, which has strong irritation to human skin, eyes and respiratory tract. Long-term contact can cause various diseases. . TDI Toluene diisocyanate (banned during the Olympic Games) TDI is a highly toxic chemical. Although there is no direct evidence that TDI is related to breast cancer, animal experiments have shown that TDI is absorbed by mice and decomposes into TDA (toluenediamine) when heated. TDA is a recognized carcinogenic chemical. Experiments have also proven that abnormal levels of TDA can be detected in the urine of workers working in a TDI environment. There is always a threat of trace amounts of TDI gas escaping from the PU sponge cup being absorbed through the skin.

2. Sponge bra is breathable

Since the honeycomb structure of the sponge is unstable, it can easily become tight and difficult to breathe, easily harboring dirt and creating a dry and stuffy environment. When you sweat, water is stored in the honeycomb, creating a stuffy feeling that is extremely difficult to dry.

3. Sponge bras are prone to breeding bacteria

Because when the washing machine dehydrates, the detergent, sweat, bacteria, etc. left in the sponge cup of the underwear will be removed along with the water; when using the drip method, because the material of the underwear is like a filter, although the water will be lost and evaporated drop by drop, the combination of bacteria, sweat and detergent on the underwear will remain. The longer the underwear is left to dry, the more bacteria will breed, and the sponge cup of the bra that has grown bacteria will have small black spots.

4. Sponge bras cannot be cleaned thoroughly.

Sponges are made of petroleum waste. When you wash it, the sponge has been quietly absorbing those detergents, soaps and other cleaning products. No matter how you rinse it, it will not be thoroughly clean. Our chests breathe mainly through the nipples. If our nipples are in an environment full of dirt for a long time, it will seriously increase the incidence of breast cancer!
