What to do if you have pubic lice?

Lice are a type of parasite that is common in animals and humans. They can pose a great threat to health because they carry bacteria, viruses and other pathogens, which can induce various diseases. Human lice are quite harmful and are often found in the genitals and other places. Their impact on reproductive health cannot be ignored. Let’s take a look at what to do if you have lice in your pubic area. I hope you can understand it.

Pubic lice is an infectious parasitic disease in which pubic lice, which mainly live on human pubic hair and body hair around the anus, bite the nearby skin, causing itching. Pubic lice are small, turtle-like creatures that use their large claws to grasp hair shafts. Pubic lice are off-white before feeding and turn rusty after feeding. It feeds on human blood, sucking blood 4-5 times a day. The host's body temperature is suitable for the growth of pubic lice. Under natural conditions, the average lifespan of female lice is 35 days, during which time they lay about 50 eggs. One male louse can fertilize multiple female lice. A person can carry hundreds of eggs, which take 8-9 days to hatch. Neither eggs nor lice can be easily washed or brushed off. Pubic lice cause itching in the affected area, which is especially severe at night. A few patients may have moderate fever, muscle pain, or swollen cervical lymph nodes.

For the best treatment effect, shave off all pubic hair, including anal hair, then go to the drugstore and buy 2 yuan of Baibu (a kind of traditional Chinese medicine), then buy a bottle of 75-degree medical alcohol, soak the Baibu in the alcohol, soak it for a few hours or overnight, then use it to wipe the area, and do it for a few days. Also, scald your underwear with hot water before changing it. Another option is to wear white underwear, because if there are pubic lice, they will excrete feces, and there will be some small gray spots on the underwear. If there are no pubic lice, it means that the pubic lice have not excreted feces.

It is recommended to go to the hospital for diagnosis and regular treatment. First, the pubic hair should be shaved as much as possible and burned with fire. Underwear and underpants should be boiled or ironed. Topical medications include:

⒈0.01% permethrin solution. This is a highly effective, low-toxic insecticide. Apply it externally once to moisten all the pubic hair, and wash it off after 3 days. This medicine also has a killing effect on pubic lice eggs and is harmless to the human body. Be careful not to swallow or get in eyes.

⒉ Apply 25%-50% alcohol extract of Stemona japonica twice a day for 3 consecutive days, and then apply warm rice vinegar to break the adhesion between pubic lice eggs and pubic hair, making it easier to remove the pubic lice eggs.

⒊ 25% benzyl benzoate emulsion, 1% mercuric chloride alcohol, 1% hexachlorobenzene cream, 10% sulfur ointment or Ulrichol cream can also kill pubic lice.
