Why do uterine fibroids grow?

Xiaoli, who has always lived a regular life, had a healthy sex life and had no bad habits, always believed that uterine fibroids were very far away from her. According to him, there was no reason for her to have uterine fibroids other than she liked to eat high-estrogen foods and was a little fat. However, uterine fibroids still quietly occurred to Xiaoli. She couldn't understand why she, who had always been healthy, had uterine fibroids?

1. Mental factors: The uterus is located on the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary-uterine gonad axis and is very sensitive to changes in human emotions. Depression can cause unbalanced secretion of estrogen and progesterone, leading to uterine fibroids. In modern society, women play an increasingly important role, and the dual pressures from work and family are increasing. If they cannot maintain an optimistic mood and a peaceful state of mind, excessive anxiety and depression will easily lead to endocrine disorders, increased estrogen secretion, and a stronger and longer-lasting effect, which will have a great negative impact on women's physical health.

2. High-estrogen diet: The intake of exogenous estrogen substances is an important cause of uterine fibroids, among which a high-hormone diet is the first to bear the brunt. At present, the market is flooded with various foods, medicines and health products with high hormone content, and many women do not have a clear understanding and judgment of such foods. If they consume large amounts, it will inevitably disrupt the originally coordinated estrogen levels in the body and become an important cause of uterine fibroids.

3. Long-term sexual disorder: Long-term sexual disorder can easily lead to hormone disorders, causing chronic pelvic congestion and inducing uterine fibroids. If a woman cannot reach orgasm during sexual intercourse for a long time, her uterus will swell, increase in size by 2-3 times, and will not be easy to return to its original state, providing "soil" for the growth of fibroids.

4. Obesity: Studies in recent years have found that obesity is positively correlated with the incidence of uterine fibroids. For every 10kg increase in weight, the risk of uterine fibroids increases by 21%, or for every 1 unit increase in body mass index, the risk of uterine fibroids increases by 6%.
