What is the difference between hemorrhage and menstruation?

Every adult woman will have bleeding at a fixed period of each month. This is menstruation. Normally, the amount of bleeding during menstruation is less, but hemorrhage is different. The amount of bleeding during hemorrhage is a lot. If a female friend's menstruation lasts for more than a week and she continues to bleed and the amount of bleeding is heavy, then she may have hemorrhage. As an adult woman, you must understand the difference between hemorrhage and menstruation, and understand the causes of hemorrhage.

1. Causes of hemorrhage: staying up late and mental stress.

People who often stay up late will suffer great damage to their bodies and their resistance will also decrease. Staying up late often will affect the rest of various organs in the body and easily lead to neuroendocrine disorders. Endocrine disorders can cause functional uterine bleeding, leading to increased menstrual volume, prolonged menstrual period and hemorrhage.

2. Cause of hemorrhage: sexual intercourse during menstruation.

Having sex during menstruation is not only prone to bacterial infection, but also causes excessive congestion of the genitals, resulting in excessive menstrual flow, continuous bleeding, and menorrhagia.

3. Cause of hemorrhage: excessive physical fatigue.

Whether it is during menstruation or not, excessive physical fatigue can easily deplete the body's vitality, and qi deficiency can lead to blood not returning to the menstruation. Insufficient vital energy will affect the normal circulation of blood. If blood flow cannot be effectively controlled, hemorrhage can easily occur.

4. Causes of hemorrhage: irritability and frequent anger.

We all know that anger hurts the liver and that the liver stores blood. Women who often lose their temper and get angry can easily suffer from liver damage due to accumulated fire, which can lead to disharmony of Qi and blood. If the liver cannot store blood, it can cause hemorrhage.

5. Causes of hemorrhage: inflammation or organic disease.

There are many reasons for hemorrhage, such as uterine polyps, endometriosis, etc. Vulvar infection and inflammation can cause endocrine disorders and even lead to uterine polyps, resulting in heavy vaginal bleeding and thus hemorrhage.

6. The difference between hemorrhage and menstruation

The normal menstrual period for most people is about 7 days, but if the period exceeds 7 days and bleeding continues, it is very likely to be menorrhagia.

Hemorrhage is also called metrorrhagia. Excessive menstrual bleeding causes continuous bleeding, which is discharged like running water, and lasts for too long, more than 7 days or even more than 10 days in a row. There is no regular pattern of menstrual bleeding and it may occur even when you are not on your period.

Many people may not take menstrual bleeding seriously at first, thinking it is just ordinary menstrual irregularity. But just imagine how terrible long-term bleeding is. Not only can it easily cause anemia in women, causing them to look pale, dizzy, palpitating and short of breath, but they are also likely to faint due to excessive blood loss, and may even be life-threatening. It can be seen that menstrual bleeding is really not a trivial matter.
