Gynecological urinary incontinence

Gynecological urinary incontinence

Many little-known problems occur among female friends, such as gynecological urinary incontinence. These kinds of questions are often difficult to talk about. According to statistics, female friends suffer from urinary incontinence more frequently than male friends. Most female mothers will experience urinary incontinence. So which type of mothers are more likely to suffer from gynecological urinary incontinence? Let’s take a look at it together below.

Which mothers are prone to urinary incontinence?

1. Women who are often constipated and have long bowel movements;

2. Women who sneeze and cough frequently;

3. After giving birth in older women;

4. Mothers whose babies are born weighing more than 3500 grams;

5. A mother who has given birth to multiple children.

What are the types of urinary incontinence?

Urinary incontinence is often more common in women who have given birth and can be divided into three types:

Abdominal stress incontinence

It often occurs during intense aerobic exercise or when abdominal pressure increases, such as when sneezing, coughing, or laughing.

Causes of urinary incontinence: To analyze the causes of this type of urinary incontinence, we can start with the physiological structure of women. The pelvic floor muscles support the lower abdominal muscles like a hammock. Above the muscle, there is the cervix and bladder, and above that is the uterus.

During pregnancy, the bladder has to withstand pressure from up to 5 kg of amniotic fluid and placenta. This is why urinary incontinence is more likely to occur in late pregnancy.

Another cause of urinary incontinence is that the pelvic floor muscles become loose due to reduced supporting capacity due to childbirth and other reasons, causing bladder prolapse. The vagina is subjected to pressure from the pelvic floor, which makes the urethra, which should be tightly closed under normal circumstances, unable to close tightly. Urinary leakage occurs when it is impacted by abdominal pressure.

Physiologically speaking, stress urinary incontinence is not a very serious disease, but just a physiological phenomenon of a certain stage.

Acute urinary incontinence

I realized I had to pee, but before I could hold it in and get to the bathroom, I peed. Sometimes this happens even just by hearing the sound of running water.

Causes of urinary incontinence: Acute urinary incontinence is caused by the urination muscles that control bladder contractions becoming overly sensitive to stimulation and contracting excessively. It often results from injury to the bladder nerves or muscles during surgery, childbirth, or illness.
