Nowadays, many women have certain menstrual disorders and endocrine imbalances, which will most likely affect the normal development of follicles. I believe everyone knows that a woman’s ovarian follicles can only combine with sperm to better conceive when they reach a certain stage of maturity. However, many women become pregnant before reaching maturity. So what is the outcome of conception with small ovarian follicles? How to deal with it? Pregnancy requires normal sperm and eggs, unobstructed fallopian tubes, suitable endometrium, hormone levels in the body, etc. The size of a mature follicle is 18-25mm. If it is lower or larger than this standard, ovulation will not occur normally. Factors that lead to anovulation are generally common, such as endocrine disorders (such as dysfunction of the hypothalamus, pituitary, and ovarian axis, hypothyroidism), ovarian dysfunction, etc. At the same time, other factors such as multiple miscarriages, tuberculosis, anemia, etc. can cause ovulatory dysfunction. Therefore, it is recommended to first check to determine the cause and then carry out targeted treatment. Follicular dysplasia If a woman's ovarian follicles are underdeveloped and she takes ovulation-inducing drugs for a certain period of time to force ovulation, the egg can be released but it is not mature enough and therefore conception is not possible. Even if the sperm and egg combine, miscarriage, stillbirth, etc. are likely to occur. Immature ovarian follicles In order to get pregnant soon, some female friends will take some ovulation-inducing drugs to force the discharge of eggs. If ovulation cannot occur normally or the quality of the discharged eggs is poor, it will affect normal conception and fertility. Because only when the follicles are fully developed can they function properly. The eggs released will be mature and healthy. Abnormal ovarian follicles Some female friends are weak, have cold body and many diseases, and have kidney deficiency and cold uterus, which can lead to abnormal ovarian function. Poor follicular development leads to difficulty in conception. For such patients, they should try to avoid eating raw, cold, spicy, dry and greasy foods, which can easily deplete the essence and blood. They should eat some warm, mild and nourishing foods appropriately. Luteal insufficiency After the follicle matures, it will release the egg and transform into a corpus luteum. If the quality of the corpus luteum is poor, it is usually because its predecessor, the "follicle", also did not develop well. Poor development of the follicle and insufficient number of granulosa cells in the follicle before ovulation can cause infertility. Polycystic ovary syndrome After the follicles develop to a certain extent, if there is no corresponding hormone stimulation, they will not be able to ovulate, which will lead to female infertility. |
