How to check if you are pregnant using a pregnancy test stick?

The pregnancy test stick is also called an early pregnancy test paper or a pregnancy test piece. It can detect whether the body is pregnant by testing the female's urine and the human body's chorionic villus hormone. The human body will secrete this hormone into the urine. Therefore, you can dip the pregnancy test stick in a little urine for testing. Generally, two red bars appear on the surface of the pregnancy test stick, proving that the body is pregnant.

How to check if you are pregnant using a pregnancy test stick?

There is only one control line on the pregnancy test stick: it means you are not pregnant.

The urine sample should be collected from the first urine in the morning. If this is inconvenient, urine that has remained in the bladder for more than four hours should be tested.

If two lines appear on the pregnancy test stick, that is, the control line and the test line are both clearly colored, it means you have won the jackpot.

You should not drink a lot of water deliberately to increase urine, as this will dilute the content of pregnancy hormones in the body, thereby affecting the test results and it is very likely that no test results will be found.

If no line appears on the pregnancy test stick within 5 minutes, it means the test is invalid or has failed.

Before starting the test, please read the instructions carefully and follow each step accurately.

One dark and one light color on the pregnancy test stick: This means that if the control line is clear and the test line is very light, it means that you may be pregnant, but it does not necessarily mean that you are pregnant. In this case, you need to collect morning urine and retest it every two days using a new pregnancy test stick.

If you have just gotten pregnant or have an ectopic pregnancy, the HCG level in your body is generally low, and the color band in the test area only appears faintly, which will also cause the pregnancy test stick to be dark and light.

Ectopic pregnancy is a type of pregnancy. Pregnancy test sticks cannot confirm ectopic pregnancy, but can only detect pregnancy. To confirm ectopic pregnancy, B-ultrasound or blood HCG is required. The most commonly used method for detecting ectopic pregnancy is 1) Type B ultrasound imaging: the pregnancy ring can be seen as early as 5 weeks of pregnancy. If fetal heartbeat and fetal movement are seen, early pregnancy and live fetus can be diagnosed. 2) Pregnancy test: Enzyme immunoassay to measure urine HCG, which is the early pregnancy diagnostic test strip; you can also draw blood to measure blood HCG, which has a higher accuracy rate.

Pregnancy test sticks are disposable items and cannot be used again even if no results are shown after the first use. The reason why the pregnancy test stick did not show any results may be due to inaccurate usage or the test paper has expired or is invalid. The self-test rate of early pregnancy test strips is about 75%. It is effective within 5 minutes of observation. Sometimes false negatives or false positives may occur. In order to improve the accuracy of pregnancy test sticks in detecting pregnancy, when using pregnancy test sticks, it must be arranged about a week after the menstruation is delayed, and the first urine in the early morning should be used as much as possible for more accuracy.

Precautions

Before use, be sure to wear the disposable plastic gloves provided in the box, then pinch the handle of the pregnancy test stick tightly with your thumb, tilt the end with the urine suction hole downward, and the side that needs to be observed should also face downward, making sure that the plum blossom pattern is facing upward.
