What is the cause of bad menstrual odor?

Women have menstruation every month, and this period of time is clinically called the menstrual period. During women's menstrual period, there are significant changes in their bodies and they are also relatively weak, so they need to pay attention to conditioning. Generally speaking, people can judge whether there are abnormalities in the body by the nature and smell of menstruation. So what is wrong with the foul menstrual odor that women experience during their period?

1. Gynecological diseases:

If a woman suffers from gynecological diseases such as vaginitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, cervicitis, endometritis, etc., menstrual blood will not be discharged normally and smoothly, resulting in menstrual blood congestion and a foul odor. If it is caused by a disease, most women will still have a bad odor in their genitals after menstruation stops. If it is caused by gynecological diseases, the disease needs to be treated as soon as possible. As long as the disease is cured, the bad smell will disappear on its own.

2. Secretions such as menstrual blood and sweat:

Foul menstrual odor may be caused by the menstrual blood mixed with secretions from the endometrium and sebaceous glands, as well as sweat. This condition does not require treatment as long as women dress appropriately and stay breathable. At the same time, change sanitary napkins frequently and clean the vulva with clean water or a wet towel more than twice a day, and this situation will improve.

3. Too many miscarriages:

If a woman has multiple miscarriages, it will disrupt the regularity of her menstruation, causing the menstrual blood to not be discharged normally. If the blood accumulates in the body for a long time, it will produce a foul odor.

4. Note

If you have foul menstrual odor, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. If it is caused by gynecological diseases, you should also seek treatment as soon as possible. You should know that if gynecological diseases such as vaginitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and cervicitis are not treated in time, they will not only induce other diseases that seriously affect your health, but may also lead to female infertility.
