What to do if your breasts are squeezed

Breasts are a very important part of a woman's body. Not only do they outline a woman's sexy curves, but they also bear the responsibility of nurturing offspring. The breasts are a very sensitive part of a woman's body. Generally, this part is not easily injured, but if it is squeezed, the pain will be very unbearable, and if not handled properly, it may even leave scars. It needs to be treated as soon as possible. So, what should you do if your breasts are squeezed?

When the breast is injured by impact or other injuries, if there is no epidermal damage or subcutaneous bleeding, usually no special treatment is required and only observation is required. Those with significant pain can take painkillers to relieve the pain.

If subcutaneous bruising or hematoma appears in the breast after an injury, cold compress can be used as long as the hematoma is not large, because the local blood vessels will contract when exposed to cold and the bleeding will stop. After three days, apply hot compress again to promote the absorption of blood stasis or hematoma. If the breast hematoma is large, or the hematoma continues to increase after cold compress, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time. The blood in the breast hematoma can be drained out, and then a pressure bandage can be applied to prevent further bleeding. At the same time, antibiotics should be taken to prevent secondary infection.

If the breast skin is damaged, it should be cleaned and disinfected immediately, and sufficient antibiotics should be given to prevent infection. If the injured part of the breast becomes red, swollen, hot, and painful, it is a sign of inflammation. In the early stages of inflammation, in addition to giving large amounts of antibiotics, local hot compresses can also be used to promote the absorption of inflammation. Once the infected area begins to throb and there is a feeling of fluctuation when touched, it is the abscess stage of breast infection, which means that the fat and other tissues in the infected area have already undergone necrosis. At this time, the above treatment methods are no longer effective and breast abscess incision and drainage should be performed.

After a woman's breast injury, no matter how serious, she needs to wear a bra of appropriate size and soft texture to support the breasts so that the breasts can rest and facilitate speedy recovery.

Breast infection, especially breast abscess, may affect future lactation function. Severely infected people may also suffer from scar adhesion and contracture of local tissue, causing local skin depression and deformation, leading to damage to physical and mental health. Therefore, women should try their best to protect their breasts from external damage. If their breasts are damaged, they should seek medical treatment as soon as possible to prevent sequelae.
