What are the reasons why nipples hurt when touched?

Many female friends experience pain in their nipples when they are touched. In fact, this is not a strange phenomenon. Pains during development, menstruation, hyperplasia, postpartum pain, post-abortion pain, and late-stage breast cancer are all causes of nipple pain. Except for breast cancer, the others are normal reactions. However, once breast cancer is diagnosed, professional treatment must be actively sought, otherwise the condition will become more serious.

1. Pain during development

If you are still in the growth and development period, it is the breast pain caused by puberty, which usually occurs around the age of twelve. As the breasts gradually mature, the pain will gradually disappear. So if you are in the development period, you don’t need to worry too much.

2. Menstrual pain

In fact, many women experience breast pain during menstruation. During menstruation, the level of estrogen secretion in women's bodies will increase, which will affect the mammary glands, so there will be pain. Generally, it will get better after the menstrual period.

3. Hyperplastic pain

Breast hyperplasia is a common breast disease, which is generally caused by hormone disorders in the body. So it is mainly about regulating the endocrine system. Breast hyperplasia generally does not lead to breast cancer, so there is no need to worry too much. For many people, the lumps in the breast will disappear automatically at a certain stage. You should pay attention to your diet and eat less irritating food. You can apply a hot towel to your chest and maintain a good mood.

4. Postpartum pain

Many women after childbirth will experience breast pain, which is mainly caused by blocked milk ducts. Therefore, they should breastfeed as soon as possible to clear the milk ducts and relieve the pain.

5. Pain after miscarriage

There are also some girls who have suffered a miscarriage, and their hormone levels cannot be adjusted all at once, which will affect their breasts, making them prone to lumps and pain. During this period, they need to adjust their hormone levels.

6. Late stage breast cancer

If you are relatively young, you generally do not need to worry about breast cancer, because there will be no pain in the early stages of breast cancer. It will only gradually manifest itself in the later stages. Breast cancer mostly develops in women around 40 years old, and there will also be armpit pain. If you have this condition, please go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.
