Causes of chloasma in women

Time flies, the years pass by like a shuttle. Time slips away quietly, but leaves traces of the years on a woman's face. Once women turn 25, skin problems begin to appear. Melasma is a woman’s natural enemy. It cannot be washed away by facial cleansers or skin care products. It can only be covered up with layer after layer of concealer. However, the more it is covered up, the more it tends to appear. Melasma turns one beautiful woman after another into "Ruhua". Chloasma is a pain in women’s hearts, so, how does melasma come about?

(1) Genetic reasons. Autosomal inheritance is the main cause of freckles. It usually starts in children around 5 years old, mostly in women, with severe symptoms in spring and summer and mild symptoms in autumn and winter. Light brown to yellowish brown spots ranging in size from pinpoint to rice grains, symmetrically distributed on the face (especially the nose).

(2) Ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet radiation in sunlight is an important cause of pigmentation, which is why sun protection is needed in summer. When the skin is exposed to too much sunlight, the epidermis produces more melanin particles, which can absorb ultraviolet rays and protect the body from harm. This is why our skin becomes darker after sun exposure. Moreover, exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause chloasma, which darkens the color of common freckles.

(3) Endocrine causes Endocrine disorders are also an important cause of pigmentation in women. Changes in sex hormone levels during menstruation and pregnancy can affect the production of melanin. In addition, endocrine instability usually causes emotional instability, which can also indirectly cause the formation of pigmentation spots (in traditional Chinese medicine, the formation of melasma is mainly attributed to liver congestion, which is more complicated).

(4) Problems with lifestyle habits. Bad living habits such as stress, picky eating, lack of sleep, etc. can also increase melanin. Therefore, people with unstable sleep schedules have poor skin metabolism rates, which will affect the production of melanin particles. Endocrine regulation mainly starts with diet and exercise, supplemented by drug treatment when necessary. Develop good eating habits, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, high-protein foods, drink plenty of water to replenish the body's water needs, and at the same time participate in various sports and exercises to strengthen physical fitness. You must also have a scientific life routine and do not stay up late often to avoid disrupting normal physiological laws, causing hormone secretion imbalance or even deficiency, and then causing other diseases. You must also make sure to pay attention to rest and get enough sleep.
