Can women take gold tablets during menstruation?

The menstrual period is a relatively vulnerable period for girls. During this period, girls are afraid of cold, have bad moods, cannot eat spicy food, have stomach pains, and even in severe cases, they may vomit and be unable to get out of bed. During this period, not only do you need to pay attention to the above situations, but you also not be able to take all kinds of medicines. Female Gold Tablets can be taken during menstruation, but you still need to be careful with other medicines.

The types are roughly:

1. Topical medications for the treatment of gynecological infectious diseases: such as those for the treatment of vaginal trichomoniasis or fungal infections, washes, vaginal tablets, pills, suppositories, capsules, etc., commonly used ones such as nystatin and metronidazole, as well as external preparations made from traditional Chinese medicine (such as Cnidium monnieri), should be suspended. Because the uterine mucosa becomes congested and the cervix opens during menstruation, it is easy to be infected by bacteria.

2. Hormone drugs: The synthesis and metabolic balance of human hormones are also related to women's menstrual cycle. Therefore, hormone drugs should not be used during menstruation to avoid loss of balance. For example, androgens can cause menstrual disorders and inhibit ovulation; progesterone can cause breast tenderness or irregular vaginal bleeding; oral contraceptives can cause breast tenderness or breakthrough bleeding; and cortical hormones can cause amenorrhea or abdominal distension.

3. Thyroid preparations: They may cause menstrual disorders, heat intolerance, sweating, arrhythmia, and weight loss. Such drugs should not be used during menstruation.

4. Diet pills: Diet pills contain appetite suppressants such as amphetamines. If used during menstruation, they may cause menstrual disorders, changes in sexual desire, polyuria or dysuria, or anxiety, palpitations, and mental tension.

5. Laxatives: Bulk laxatives such as magnesium sulfate can irritate the intestinal wall and cause pelvic congestion, so they should not be used during menstruation. Other drugs that can promote intestinal motility, such as gastrointestinal motility drugs, should also be used with caution or avoided.

6. Anticoagulants: To prevent increased uterine bleeding, anticoagulants such as coumarin and certain Chinese herbal thrombolytic preparations should be avoided during menstruation.

7. Hemostatic drugs: This type of drug can reduce the permeability of capillaries, causing capillaries to contract, which may cause menstrual blood flow problems. In addition, Chinese medicine or Chinese patent medicine with strong hemostatic effect must be used with caution.
