What to check for during the 36th week of pregnancy

Nowadays, with the improvement of science and technology and medical level, modern people have higher requirements for health, and the same is true for the baby in the belly. Even if it is just a small fertilized egg, its development and growth are also taken very seriously. Therefore, as the baby grows up day by day, pregnant mothers have different examination items at different times. What we are going to talk about today is what to check for pregnant women at 36 weeks? Let’s find out together below.

As the name suggests, prenatal check-up is an examination before delivery, also known as perinatal care. It can timely understand the physical condition of the pregnant woman and the growth and development of the fetus, ensure the health and safety of the mother and fetus, and achieve eugenics.

At 36 weeks of pregnancy, the 9th prenatal check-up will be carried out. Common routine check-ups this week include blood pressure, weight, uterine fundus height, abdominal circumference, fetal heart rate, fetal position, urine routine, fetal heart monitoring and obstetric examinations. These examinations can allow doctors to understand the basic condition of the expectant mother and fetus, as well as the physical conditions for delivery. Among them, the key prenatal examination item is B-ultrasound, which is an important item in the entire pregnancy examination. In addition, there are others including: blood type, Rh factor, liver function, hepatitis B surface antigen, alpha-fetoprotein; serum cytomegalovirus, Toxoplasma IgG and IgM antibodies. If a pregnant woman has other medical diseases, she needs to undergo laboratory tests for the relevant diseases. For example, if she has hyperthyroidism, she needs to have her thyroid function tested. In addition, the mother is 36 weeks pregnant and is now in the late stage of pregnancy. She needs to do fetal heart monitoring once a week. She should pay attention to counting fetal movements and fetal heart monitoring, which is a means to rule out fetal intrauterine hypoxia.

In fact, the 36th week of pregnancy is close to delivery. The more important examinations for pregnant women during this period are fetal heart rate and B-ultrasound. These two items are indispensable and can observe the development of the fetus more accurately. In addition, pregnant mothers during this period should supplement nutrition, exercise properly, and prepare for the upcoming delivery.
