Is brown menstrual period considered clean?

Is brown menstrual period considered clean?

In the first few days of a woman's menarche, the amount of menstrual blood is heavy. As the menstrual period progresses, the amount of menstrual blood will decrease, and in the later stages of the menstrual period, there will often be some dark brown secretions. So, does the brown discharge that appears in the next few days mean that the menstrual period is over?

1. A woman's normal menstrual period is mostly between 3 and 7 days. If there is brown discharge in the last few days of this period, it is also considered menstrual bleeding, so it should be counted as a normal menstrual period and cannot be counted as the end of the menstrual period. If brown discharge appears and normal menstrual bleeding lasts for more than 7 days, it should be considered as prolonged menstruation.

2. Most women who are prone to prolonged menstruation have a history of intrauterine surgery or poor uterine repair or healing caused by a history of cesarean section. If there is no history of such surgical treatment, most of them are closely related to abnormal corpus luteum function, which can also cause endocrine disorders, and then lead to unstable menstrual periods, excessive menstrual flow or prolonged menstruation and other physical and mental health problems.

3. If the last brown discharge of your period is during your normal menstrual period, just follow normal menstrual care. If the menstrual period is significantly exceeded, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a targeted uterine examination to determine the cause of the disease. In particular, if a specific organic disease cause is found, treatment must be carried out as soon as possible to prevent deterioration.

What causes brown discharge in the vagina?

1. Irregular menstruation and deposition

Black blood after menstruation may be caused by less bleeding in the late period, poor menstrual discharge, and long deposition time in the uterine cavity.

2. Main physiological manifestations

The menstrual period has not yet ended, but the menstrual volume is less, and it is mixed with secretions to appear dark brown. This situation is a normal physiological manifestation.

3. Gynecological diseases

Cervical erosion, uterine fibroids and endometritis can also cause the appearance of brown secretions. It is recommended that women go to the hospital for a gynecological examination at this time.

4. Luteal insufficiency

Luteal insufficiency cannot support the adequate growth and development of the uterine wall during the metabolic period, and secondly, the corpus luteum function is shrinkage and uneven.

5. IUD

The installation of an IUD may also cause brown discharge after menstruation.
