Why can't I open my eyes during menstruation?

Why can't I open my eyes during menstruation?

Many women feel particularly tired during menstruation and always feel sleepy. In fact, this is a common physiological phenomenon, which is closely related to the body's hormone secretion during menstruation and can easily cause menstrual tension syndrome in women. If this happens, don't be too anxious. Pay attention to your diet, get enough rest, improve your health care, maintain an optimistic and cheerful attitude, etc.

What are the symptoms of menstruation?

1. Increased leucorrhea

If you observe carefully, you will find that women's leucorrhea will increase significantly before menstruation. This is because the pelvic cavity is congested before menstruation, and the blood flow in the cervix and vagina increases, so the secretions of the cervix and vagina will also increase, and these secretions are the main components of leucorrhea.

2. Swelling

This situation often occurs within a week before menstruation. Some women usually have edema, but it becomes more serious before menstruation. Due to the appearance of edema, women will gain weight, and edema is also accompanied by headaches, runny nose, constipation, abdominal distension, etc.

3. Breast pain

Many women will experience breast pain before their period. At this time, women may feel small nodules when touching their breasts, which will cause pain when touched. However, these nodules and pain will disappear after their period comes, but they will reappear before the next period.

4. Other premenstrual discomfort symptoms

In addition to the above-mentioned premenstrual symptoms, women may also experience a feeling of pelvic heaviness, back pain, headache, irritability, anger, and inability to concentrate. Generally, the symptoms are mild and do not require treatment. They will disappear automatically after menstruation comes. However, some women experience severe symptoms before their period, which even affect their normal work and life. This is generally called premenstrual syndrome.

How do women take care of their health during menstruation?

1. Do not use drugs indiscriminately

Generally, women experience slight discomfort during menstruation, which disappears on its own after menstruation and does not require medication to avoid interfering with the normal process. If you experience unbearable abdominal pain or excessive bleeding that does not stop for a long time, you need to be examined and treated by a doctor and do not take any medicine at will.

2. Suitable temperature

Pay attention to climate changes, especially avoid high temperatures in the sun, wind, cold and rain; or wading and swimming, or washing your hair and feet with cold water, or sitting on cold ground for a long time, etc.

3. Regulate emotions

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that abnormal emotions are one of the important pathogenic factors, and the impact of mental emotions on menstruation is particularly obvious. Therefore, during menstruation, you must keep your emotions stable, your mood happy, and avoid adverse stimulation to prevent irregular menstruation.

4. Eat in moderation

During the menstrual period, due to the dissipation of menstrual blood, more adequate nutrition is needed; the diet should be light and mild, easy to digest, and avoid eating too much raw and cold food, because the cold causes blood to coagulate, which can easily cause dysmenorrhea, as well as scanty or sudden interruption of menstruation. Avoid overeating spicy, dry, and dry foods that damage body fluids to reduce uterine congestion. Drink more boiled water, eat more fruits and vegetables, and keep your bowel movements smooth.

5. Cleanliness and hygiene

During menstruation, the vulva should be kept clean. Wipe the vulva with warm water every night. It is not advisable to take a tub bath or a sitz bath, but a shower is better. Sanitary napkins and paper should be soft and clean, and it is best to sterilize them under high pressure before use. Menstrual belts and underwear should be changed and washed frequently to reduce the irritation of blood stains to the vulva and inner thighs. After washing, scald them with boiling water and dry them in the sun for later use. Menstrual pads should be made with sterilized gauze and toilet paper. After defecation, wipe from front to back to avoid bringing dirt into the vagina and causing vaginitis or uterine inflammation.

6. Combine work and rest

Working, studying, and engaging in general physical labor as usual during menstruation can promote pelvic blood circulation, thereby reducing back pain and lower abdominal discomfort. However, heavy physical labor and strenuous exercise should be avoided, as overwork can cause excessive congestion in the pelvis, causing excessive menstruation, prolonged menstruation, abdominal pain, and back pain. Also, ensure adequate sleep to maintain adequate energy.
