What is the reason for transparent and stringy leucorrhea during menstruation?

If a woman has transparent leucorrhea with stringiness, it usually means that she is in her ovulation period. During the ovulation period, the vaginal secretions of women will gradually increase. At this time, the leucorrhea can be stretched very long and is not easily broken. The leucorrhea is clear, transparent and elastic, and sometimes shaped like egg white. During this period, the leucorrhea is the most and relatively thin.

Relationship with ovulation

Specific operation method: Dip your finger into the leucorrhea at the vaginal opening every morning, and observe the amount and viscosity of your leucorrhea to understand whether you are in the ovulation period when it is easy to conceive, and decide whether you can have sex that day or whether you need to take contraceptive measures. According to data, the effectiveness of this method can be as high as 97.8%.

But this method is not completely safe. You can also try the following methods to monitor ovulation:

One is the cervical mucus method. In the hospital's gynecology department, cervical mucus is checked to determine whether you are in the ovulation period.

The second is the basal body temperature method: measure your body temperature every morning after waking up. Generally, the body temperature is lower in the first half of menstruation, and even lower during the ovulation period, and will gradually rise after ovulation.

The third is to use ovulation test paper to test: it is best to start testing on the 3rd day after the menstruation is over. You should test it every day, and do not use morning urine to test it, until the two bars are the same depth or the second bar is darker than the first bar, which means you will ovulate within 24 hours.

Physiological staging

Generally speaking, the changes in vaginal sensation and mucus during a woman's cycle can be divided into three phases:

Holidays: 4-5 days

Phase 1: 3.5 days, vagina is dry and has no mucus.

Phase 2: 3.3 days, the vagina is moist, with a little mucus, yellow or white, opaque and sticky.

Stage 3: 3.3 days, the vagina is moist, slippery, contains a lot of mucus, is protein-like, transparent and elastic.

Then it returns to Phase 2 and Phase 1: 13.5 days, returning to the previous state of Phase 2 and Phase 1.

The key is to carefully observe the changes in mucus during the third period, which is the ovulation period. By the last day, the amount of mucus increases, and this day is called the peak day. The leucorrhea that day can usually be stretched to 4-15CM, and is not easy to break. It is clear, transparent, elastic, and egg white-like.

Ovulation occurs on the peak day or the day after it. The probability of ovulation is highest on the last day of phase 3. Generally, by observing a few menstrual cycles, you can accurately grasp your own patterns.
