How to deal with physiological milk swelling

How to deal with physiological milk swelling

Physiological breast engorgement can be relieved by using a breast pump, massage or regular breastfeeding.

1. Breast pump: During menstruation, mammary gland secretion will be more vigorous, resulting in breast engorgement. You can use a sterile breast pump to suck out excess milk in the breast, and then use a sterile vacuum bag or a sterile bottle to preserve the milk. The breast pump can suck out the milk accumulated in the mammary gland. It is generally used for babies who cannot directly suck breast milk or who have excessive milk secretion, so a breast pump can be used to improve the situation and avoid breast engorgement.

2. Massage: During menstruation, the body's estrogen level and endocrine system will be abnormal, which will promote breast secretion and increase the milk content. If the excess milk is not squeezed out in time, it may clog the breast and cause breast stiffness and pain. You can squeeze out the milk through massage to relieve the phenomenon of breast engorgement during menstruation and restore the breasts to normal.

3. Regular breastfeeding: If breast engorgement occurs during menstruation, you can relieve the symptoms of physiological breast engorgement by breastfeeding. Let the baby absorb more milk, thereby reducing the milk in the breasts. After the milk decreases, the breasts will gradually soften, and then the symptoms of breast pain will be alleviated.
