Why is the clitoral glans itchy and painful?

In life, we are often troubled by some sudden diseases, such as suddenly feeling extremely itchy and painful in the glans clitoris, with no other symptoms. This can be very confusing and we don’t know how to deal with it. The glans clitoris is a relatively private part of women. If there are some problems here, it is particularly likely that you have some gynecological diseases. If this happens, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time, and you cannot deal with it based on your own feelings. The doctor will give a reasonable treatment method based on the specific condition. Now let’s talk about why the glans clitoris is itchy and painful.

Causes of clitoral glans pain

The first one:

It is a chronic local irritation, such as the irritation of leucorrhea, urine, local uncleanliness, dirt and other local irritations, which causes clitoral itching.

Second type:

It refers to vulvar diseases such as varicose veins of the vulva, leukoplakia of the vulva, menopausal clitoral itching, vulvar skin diseases (such as lichen planus, chronic eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, epidermal fungus, etc.) and pubic lice.

The third type:

It is caused by medical diseases, such as vitamin deficiency (especially A and B), diabetes, gout, jaundice, leukemia and other medical diseases. Certain systemic allergic diseases such as drug rashes and urticaria, as well as allergies in some people to soaps, vulvar douches, hemorrhoid creams, contraceptive gels, contraceptive devices, etc., can also cause itching. Some neurotic patients may also experience psychogenic clitoral pruritus.

Things to note in daily life

1. Pay attention to menstrual hygiene, change menstrual pads frequently and wash them frequently during menstruation.

2. Keep the vulva clean and dry, do not wash it with hot water or scrub it with soap.

3. Avoid misusing or abusing drugs, scratching or local friction.

4. Avoid alcohol, spicy food, seafood, and medicines that may cause allergies.

5. Do not wear tight crotch pants. Underwear should be loose, breathable, and preferably made of cotton.

6. If there is local damage or infection, soak in 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution (add a small amount of potassium permanganate powder to warm water to make it light red, not too concentrated) twice a day, each time for 20 to 30 minutes. It is best to see a doctor and follow his advice.

7. See a doctor to check whether there is fungus or trichomonas. If so, seek timely treatment instead of using "anti-itching water" to treat it yourself.

8. Patients who fail to recover after long-term treatment should have their blood sugar checked.
