What is breast nodule?

Although breast nodule disease is uncommon, once it occurs, it can cause great harm to women's health. It often causes breast swelling and pain, chronic and persistent nodule disease, lumps in the breast, and in severe cases, enlarged lymph nodes in the armpits. The characteristics of breast nodule disease are a relatively hard texture, lumps appearing before menstruation, obvious enlargement and gradual shrinkage after menstruation, etc.

1. Subacute temporal sarcoidosis:

Clinically, there is no damage except erythema on the skin. It may be accompanied by fever, migratory arthritis, and multiple swollen lymph nodes. No trace will be left after recovery.

2. Chronic permanent sarcoidosis:

There are no obvious clinical symptoms, and only 25% of patients have skin lesions. Initially, it is small eczema-like papules. When the lesion expands, it may involve the entire breast, causing thickening of the skin, rough surface, reddish-brown or purple-red patches or papules, and tiny superficial ulcers. The disappearance of the center of the papule may make the lesion appear ring-shaped. Asymptomatic hilar lymphadenopathy occurs in 70% of patients.

3. Breast pain:

Common symptoms include unilateral or bilateral breast pain or tenderness, with a general course of 2 months to several years. Most patients have the characteristic of cyclical pain.

4. Breast lumps:

The lumps are often multiple, unilateral or bilateral, and are more common in the upper quadrant; and their size and texture also change cyclically with menstruation. Before menstruation, the lumps increase in size and become harder in texture, while after menstruation, the lumps shrink and become tough but not hard. During palpation, the mass can be felt to have a nodular structure, of varying sizes, with unclear boundaries from surrounding tissues, often tender, with no adhesion to the skin and deep tissues, and can be pushed. The axillary lymph nodes are not enlarged.
