Does low progesterone have anything to do with sperm?

During pregnancy, women are more concerned about the knowledge about progesterone. Progesterone plays an important role in promoting the thickness of the endometrium and promoting the secretion of future milk. If the progesterone level is too low, it can easily lead to infertility, but this has nothing to do with male sperm, it is mainly related to female reproductive health.

Too low progesterone will affect other hormone levels. Progesterone is produced by the corpus luteum of the ovary 7-9 weeks after pregnancy. Its function is to indicate the growth and development of the fetus and generally has nothing to do with sperm.

Progesterone plays a great role for women and plays a vital role in women's healthy life. Fertility and embryo development are related to progesterone. Progesterone directly affects women's pregnancy life.

Progesterone helps stimulate changes in the uterus during the birth process, has a certain stimulating effect on the uterus, and promotes embryonic development by increasing blood flow to the blood vessels and tissues of the reproductive system, allowing the baby to be safely protected in the mother's belly. After the egg is released from the ovary, it attaches to the uterus and stays there.

Theoretically, the combination of egg and sperm to form an embryo is a normal physiological process. Progesterone is a hormone that can delay the shedding of the uterine membrane (embryo culture) and is a common estrogen secreted by the female body.

If progesterone levels drop significantly in the first few weeks of pregnancy, that is, if a woman's progesterone is reduced in this way, then bad things will happen and it may lead to miscarriage. However, for women who wish to postpone pregnancy, if they do not want a child yet, in this case, injecting a large dose of progesterone can help prevent ovulation and the egg will not be released.
