Do uterine contractions affect the fetus?

Generally speaking, uterine contractions do not have much impact on the baby, but if the contractions are too frequent, it may cause the baby to suffer from hypoxia or premature birth. If the mother has not yet reached her due date but has uterine contractions at around ten times per hour, it is considered frequent uterine contractions and she must go to the hospital in time to avoid premature birth.

What should I pay attention to during uterine contractions?

1. If the pregnant woman has not yet reached the due date, but when calculating the uterine contractions, it is found that the number of uterine contractions is about 10 times per hour, which is frequent uterine contractions. She should go to the hospital in time and take some drugs to inhibit uterine contractions under the guidance of a doctor to prevent premature birth.

2. Be sure to rest when uterine contractions occur. If it is a normal uterine contraction, the expectant mother does not need to be too nervous. Just calculate the frequency of the contractions and keep it in mind.

3. If the pregnant woman feels pain during uterine contractions and also has bleeding or discharge, the possibility of premature birth should be considered. If the expectant mother is less than 37 weeks pregnant and has 4 or more contractions within 1 hour, she should go to the hospital for examination immediately.
