What causes chest itching?

Itchy breasts make many women worry. In fact, itchy breasts are sometimes a normal physiological phenomenon. The accumulation of dirt stimulates the local skin of the breasts and causes itching. The most important thing is that we must develop good hygiene habits and pay attention to the cleanliness of the breasts.

1. Breast itching is a normal physiological phenomenon and there is nothing wrong with it. The main reason for breast itching is that the light brown areola of the breast is a gathering place of many glands that secrete oily substances. Once they grow, the lipids become acidic and dirt accumulates, which will irritate the local skin of the breast and cause itching. Some girls wear bras made of chemical fiber materials, or do not take off their bras when sleeping, which causes poor ventilation of the nipples or poor sweat discharge and moisture, which can also cause itching. Some girls like to use soap to clean their breasts. Through rubbing and chemical reactions, they will continuously wash away the keratinized cells on the surface of the skin, destroy the skin tissue, and cause swelling of the breast epidermis, dryness and itching of the skin.

2. Adolescent girls should develop the habit of taking frequent baths and pay attention to breast hygiene. Do not use soap frequently when washing your breasts. If conditions permit, you can clean the breasts with warm water and then apply a cold towel. This can stimulate blood circulation and help enhance the elasticity of the breast skin and interstitium. Bras should not be made of chemical fibers. Soft, breathable cotton products should be selected. Be sure to remove the bra before going to bed to avoid excessive pressure on the nipples and breasts, which may cause itching.

3. It should be noted that the skin of the breast is very delicate. Do not scratch it directly with your hands when you feel itchy. If the itching is severe and the skin becomes red, swollen, painful, and has a rash, you should go to a regular dermatologist or surgeon for diagnosis and treatment in time. Do not apply ointments indiscriminately.
