Why is there a lump in the breast but it doesn’t hurt?

Breasts are women's gender labels, but it is not easy to wear this label, because breast problems are a stubborn disease that plagues most women. With the increase in pressure on women in recent years, more and more women are entangled in diseases due to breast problems. For example, the phenomenon of having lumps in the breasts without pain worries many women. Let's take a look at what is going on when there are lumps in the breasts without pain.

When people feel a lump in their breast, their first reaction is "Do I have breast cancer?" But in fact, breast swelling, pain or lumps do not necessarily mean that you have breast cancer. There is still a considerable gap between the two. Breast diseases are generally emphasized in health education on women. In fact, although men have a lower chance of developing breast cancer, men also have breasts, and of course all breast problems can also occur in men.

1. Once you find a lump or swelling and pain in your breast, don't panic. You can observe it for a few days. If tenderness or obvious lumps occur, you need to see a breast surgeon and ask the doctor to examine you carefully. You should also communicate fully with the doctor to thoroughly understand the cause of the swelling, pain and lumps.

2. In the early stages of breast cancer, there is rarely pain or other obvious symptoms. In the early stages, it can only be detected through breast self-examination and breast X-ray examinations. Breast cancer will not cause pain unless it has grown large enough to invade the nerves around the chest wall. Therefore, most occasional breast pain can be treated with regular medical examinations and there is no need to be too anxious.

3. Some swellings, pains or lumps are initially diagnosed as breast tumors. Most of these breast tumors are benign, but they may also be the precursors of breast cancer:

Breast fibrocystic: This is the most common benign breast tumor, mostly occurring in women over 30 years old. It is often bilateral and multiple and can cause swelling, pain and tenderness, and the symptoms are more severe before menstruation.
