What should I do if I suffer from cervical erosion and lower abdominal pain?

A healthy cervix is an important aspect to ensure a successful pregnancy for women. If a woman suffers from cervical erosion and it causes lower abdominal pain, she should take it seriously. If it is not treated in time and the cervical erosion is allowed to continue to develop, it may eventually have serious consequences.

1. Pain symptoms of cervical erosion are relatively rare. When the pathogens involve a deeper range, the inflammation spreads from the cervix along the uterosacral ligament or along the broad ligament, which can cause chronic parametrial connective tissue inflammation, lumbosacral pain, pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea. If the inflammation spreads to the main ligament, sexual intercourse pain may occur, affecting sexual life. When the cervix is touched during a gynecological examination, the patient will feel pain in the lumbosacral region or iliac fossa. This pain often worsens after menstruation, sexual intercourse or a gynecological examination.

2. First of all, this disease will definitely cause abdominal pain. Mild cases may have milder symptoms, but moderate and severe cases will have obvious symptoms. Some have bloating and pain in the lower abdomen, and some have pain in the lumbar region, which is very uncomfortable. In this case, one thing is to pay attention to it, and the other is to prevent pathogens from ascending to the uterus.

3. Mild patients can be treated with vaginal suppositories, while severe patients may require physical therapy or surgery. The treatment methods include microwave, laser, freezing and other physical therapy methods. A side effect of physical therapy is that it may cause the cervix to become less elastic. It is not conducive to sperm penetration, so many infertile women are unwilling to undergo physical therapy.

4. During the treatment period, it is recommended that couples take joint measures for prevention and treatment. Most female diseases are caused by men, so both of them should maintain good hygiene. Especially if men have diseases, they must receive treatment early. Women have weaker bodies and are more susceptible to infection and erosion. Women of childbearing age who have no symptoms do not need treatment.
