How to prevent breast cancer, teach you 5 tips

Nowadays, people's living standards have improved, and the incidence of breast cancer is getting higher and higher. If you want to stay away from breast cancer, you must start from your daily life. First of all, you must have a good lifestyle, don't smoke or drink, don't stay up late, and maintain a happy mood; secondly, you must do a good job of census, and it is best to have regular physical examinations, which is a good way to conduct census; finally, do not use hormone replacement therapy, because it can easily lead to the onset of breast cancer, and if used for a long time, it may be life-threatening.

1. Change your bad lifestyle

Judging from the above information, an unhealthy lifestyle is undoubtedly an important cause of breast cancer. Therefore, we can relieve mental stress, not stay up late, not smoke, avoid artificial abortion, establish good eating habits, and conform to the natural laws of human reproduction and development. Changing bad living habits will reduce the harm of breast cancer to our health.

2. Carry out a good breast disease survey

A girl has a 10% chance of developing breast cancer when she is born, so screening is the best way to prevent it. Ultrasound and surgical examinations must be performed during each screening, and women over 35 years old should consider mammography.

3. Preventive treatment

Tamoxifen can be used for short-term preventive treatment of benign breast disease.

4. Avoid hormone replacement therapy

The use of hormone replacement therapy leads to an increased risk of breast cancer. After 5 years of use, the risk of breast cancer increases by 35%. Five years after stopping hormone replacement therapy, the risk of disease returns to normal levels.

Hormone replacement therapy that uses both estrogen and a progestin may be associated with a higher rate of breast cancer than hormone replacement therapy that uses estrogen alone.

5. Preventive Mastectomy

It is estimated that preventive bilateral mastectomy (BPM) can reduce the risk of breast cancer in BRCA gene mutation carriers by 85% to 90%.

For patients who are BRCA1/2 mutation carriers and have the potential for abnormal proliferation of the entire breast epithelium, BPM may be a radical but effective treatment.

If prophylactic mastectomy is performed on patients aged 30 years, life expectancy can be extended by 3 to 5 years, but BPM is meaningless for patients > 60 years old.

Although BPM is an invasive and irreversible treatment option, women who have received adequate counseling rarely express regret after undergoing BPM and are able to feel relief from the fear of having cancer.

Prevention of breast cancer should start from daily life.
