What to do during pregnancy with hepatitis

In fact, it is easy to be infected with the hepatitis virus during pregnancy. During this special period, in addition to affecting the health of the mother, it may also be transmitted to the fetus. Therefore, more attention should be paid to prevention and treatment, and attention should be paid to monitoring throughout the pregnancy.

1 Mild hepatitis during pregnancy:

As with the non-pregnant period, pay attention to rest, strengthen nutrition, eat a high-fiber, high-protein, sufficient carbohydrate, low-fat diet, use Chinese and Western medicines, and actively carry out liver protection treatments. Avoid using drugs that may damage the liver, pay attention to preventing infection to prevent infection from aggravating liver damage, and those with jaundice should be hospitalized immediately.

2 Severe hepatitis during pregnancy:

1) Protect the liver

2) Prevention and treatment of hepatic coma

3) Prevention and treatment of DIC

4) Treatment of kidney damage

3 Obstetric management

1) Early pregnancy: Acute mild cases in early pregnancy should be treated actively and the pregnancy can be continued. Chronic active hepatitis can be treated appropriately to terminate the pregnancy.

2) Mid- and late-term pregnancy: avoid termination of pregnancy as much as possible, avoid liver damage from surgery or drugs, strengthen fetal monitoring, prevent gestational hypertension, and avoid delayed or expired pregnancy.

3) Delivery period: prepare blood, prevent delayed labor, shorten the delivery process, and prevent birth canal damage and placental retention.

4) Postpartum period: Use broad-spectrum antibiotics that are less harmful to the liver to control infection, and do not use drugs that are harmful to the liver to stop lactation.

Disease prevention

Strengthen perinatal care: pay attention to pregnancy monitoring, strengthen nutrition, increase protein, high-carbohydrate and high-fiber foods, and regularly review liver function and hepatitis virus serological markers.
