What is the treatment for plasma cell mastitis?

Female breast disease is a disease with a high incidence rate, but many people think that this type of disease is only prone to occur during lactation. In fact, there is also a disease called plasma cell mastitis which is a disease that occurs at any age. So how should it be treated?

Treatment

The treatment of plasma cell mastitis is actually not simple, especially if the patient is treated late. At this time, the principle of separating external and internal treatment can be adopted. Internal treatment: Acute phase: Liver meridian stagnation and heat syndrome; Symptoms: nipple protrusion, redness, swelling, pain and pain in the areola, accompanied by fever, headache, dry and hard stool, yellow urine, red tongue, yellow and greasy tongue coating, and stringy or slippery pulse.

Treatment method: Soothe the liver and clear away heat, promote blood circulation and reduce swelling. Chronic stage: Cold stagnation and blood stasis syndrome; Symptoms: Abscesses burst spontaneously or do not heal for a long time after incision, pus and fluid ooze out to form milk leakage, which heals and recurs from time to time, some have hard lumps, and the skin is not red or dark red. The tongue is pale red, the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is deep. Therapeutic Method: Warming Yang and dispelling cold, removing blood stasis and dispersing stagnation;

The external treatment of plasma cell mastitis mainly involves medication and drainage. Apply ointment when the lump first appears. After pus is formed, incision and drainage are performed, and the wound is dressed with ulcer oil gauze after surgery. If fistula is formed, after the acute inflammation subsides, the incision method, debridement, drainage and dressing change can be used according to the situation. Surgery: Lesion resection + nippleplasty. For a small number of older patients with larger lumps, severe skin adhesions, or multiple sinus tracts, subcutaneous mastectomy or complete mastectomy may be performed.
