Why is the leucorrhea brown in pregnant women?

For women, pregnancy is a very important event in their lives, but sometimes some diseases may occur. The formation of leucorrhea is a normal physiological phenomenon, which is generally colorless and odorless, but once the color changes, it may be some pathological disease.

1. Threatened abortion

Normally, pregnant women will experience increased vaginal secretions during pregnancy. This can be said to be an extremely normal physiological phenomenon, so pregnant women do not need to worry too much. However, if there are any abnormalities in the leucorrhea, it needs to be taken seriously. For example, if the leucorrhea contains blood, brown color, or is in the shape of tofu dregs, these are common abnormalities during pregnancy. Especially if the vaginal discharge is brown, it may be a sign of threatened miscarriage, which can be very dangerous if not taken seriously.

In addition to brown vaginal discharge, pregnant women with threatened miscarriage may also experience abdominal pain and bleeding, but the abdominal pain is usually mild and will not affect the continuation of pregnancy if the fetus is aborted in time.

2. Ectopic pregnancy

If a woman is pregnant with an ectopic pregnancy, brown vaginal discharge may appear in the early stages of pregnancy. Therefore, if it is an ectopic pregnancy, you must go to the hospital for examination in time.

Therefore, women should undergo B-ultrasound examination in time after confirming pregnancy, so as to detect whether it is an ectopic pregnancy as early as possible. Especially for patients who suffer from gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease and fallopian tube adhesions before pregnancy, they should pay more attention to preventing ectopic pregnancy.

3. Hydatidiform mole

Usually, the symptoms of hydatidiform mole appear later than ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, etc. Pregnant women will have brown vaginal discharge due to hydatidiform mole only three months after pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant women must pay special attention at this time. If there are any abnormal leucorrhea, they should be checked as soon as possible. In addition to factors such as hydatidiform mole that can cause abnormal leucorrhea in pregnant women, some of the pregnant women's own diseases are also one of the common reasons.

4. Gynecological diseases

The pregnant woman herself suffers from gynecological diseases, such as vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, endometrial lesions, tumors, etc. It can also cause brown vaginal discharge in early pregnancy.
