What to eat for kidney stones? The doctor said so

Kidney stones are a common disease in life. This disease often brings great pain to patients. If you want to cure it, you can do it through surgery. Of course, postoperative diet is very important. So what should you eat for kidney stones?

1. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables

You should eat more fruits and vegetables because they contain a lot of water which can dilute urine and thus prevent the recurrence of stones.

Eat more foods rich in vitamins, such as fresh vegetables, cucumbers, black fungus, red dates, bananas, watermelons, persimmons and other foods rich in B vitamins, as well as foods rich in vitamin C, such as kiwis, oranges, etc.

2. Increase the intake of whole grains and fiber

The cellulose in food can reduce the formation of urinary calcium. Wheat bran bread and rice bran in bran foods have the same effect and are effective for recurrent hypercalcemic urinary stones. Rice bran can reduce the excretion of urinary calcium and reduce the occurrence of urinary stones, but avoid excessive intake of cellulose foods rich in oxalic acid such as wheat bran.

3. Eat more black fungus

Black fungus is a delicious home-cooked dish. It can also promote the secretion of various glands in the digestive tract and urinary tract to lubricate the ducts, allowing stones to be discharged smoothly.

Black fungus also contains a variety of minerals, which can produce strong chemical reactions on various stones, causing them to exfoliate, differentiate and erode, causing small stones to continue to shed and shrink, and finally be excreted from the body with urine.

4. Drink plenty of water

Patients with kidney stones should drink more water after surgery, at least 2000ml~3000ml of water a day to dilute urine. Not only should they drink water during the day, but also at night. They should drink 500ml of water an hour before going to bed, and drink another 200ml of water after getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Drinking more water can dilute urine and prevent kidney stones.
