Six symptoms remind you that vertigo is coming

Vertigo is a common symptom that many people have experienced, especially when standing up suddenly and losing balance. Dizziness can affect our normal life, so we must take more precautions. So what are the symptoms of vertigo?

1. Deafness

In the early stages, deafness will occur unconsciously, and after multiple episodes of vertigo, it will become noticeable. It is usually unilateral deafness, but occasionally bilateral deafness may occur. Deafness worsens during vertigo attacks and improves during intermittent periods.

2. Tinnitus

In the early stages of the disease, patients will feel a low-pitched tinnitus with a blowing sound near their ears, which will turn into a high-pitched continuous tinnitus over time. When vertigo occurs, tinnitus will suddenly intensify, and the degree of tinnitus will naturally decrease or disappear during the interval.

3. Feeling of fullness in the head

During an attack of vertigo, some patients experience a feeling of fullness, heaviness, or pressure in the affected side of the head or ear, or a burning sensation around the ear. When observing the patient's eyeballs at the climax of nystagmus, involuntary tremors with fast and slow phases can generally be seen.

4. Vertigo is often sudden and rotational.

When you open your eyes, you will feel that the objects around you are rotating in a certain direction and plane, or shaking left and right. The above symptoms will be alleviated when you close your eyes. Therefore, when an attack occurs, the patient often adopts a certain posture and lies still with his eyes closed, not daring to turn. Although sometimes he would collapse from shock, the patient was completely conscious. Patients often experience nausea, vomiting, pale complexion, cold sweats and low blood pressure, which will improve after a few minutes or hours. The symptoms disappear and the period begins again. The length of the intermittent period varies from person to person. Some people only have one attack in their lifetime, while others have repeated attacks many times.

5. Nystagmus

When observing the patient's eyeballs at the climax of the attack, involuntary tremors with fast and slow phases can generally be seen.

6. Sensorineural hearing loss

Hearing examination revealed sensorineural hearing loss.
