Women are afraid to scratch this itchy spot

Vulvar itching occurs frequently in women. Don’t think it is a trivial matter and ignore it. It will cause greater harm in the long run. So what are the causes of vulvar itching?

Vulvar itching is a secret problem for many women. This symptom should not be underestimated and will cause you a series of troubles. Vulvar itching is concentrated on the clitoris and labia minora. Severe patients may also have symptoms on the inside. It is a troublesome gynecological disease. Pay attention to vaginal care and be a healthy woman.

There are two reasons for vulvar itching:

1. Vulvar itching caused by local infection

First, special infection. The most common are candidal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginalis. In addition, lice and scabies can also cause itching. Furthermore, women with chronic vulvar dystrophy may experience not only vulvar itching but also whitening of the vulvar skin. In addition, chemical allergies or chemical irritation, such as direct stimulation by soap, condoms, etc. or allergies to substances, can cause contact dermatitis and trigger itching symptoms.

Women's hygiene habits may also cause vulvar itching, such as uncleanliness, sebum, sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions and even long-term immersion in urine and feces, which can cause itching. Common warts, herpes, eczema, abrasions, etc. may also cause vulvar itching.

2. Disease and psychological factors cause vulvar itching

Vulvar itching may be related to physical illness, such as diabetes, jaundice, anemia, leukemia and other diseases, which may also cause vulvar itching.

Prevention of vulvar itching

1. Wear loose, breathable cotton underwear. Wash and change it frequently, and dry it in the sun frequently to keep the vulva clean and dry, and keep the bedding clean and hygienic.

2. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva. Special washing utensils should be prepared at ordinary times, with "one person, one basin, one towel, and one water". First, put the small square towel in a pot of water to boil, and then dry it before use. To clean the vulva, you should first cut your nails short and clean your hands, and then dry the cleaning utensils after washing.

3. Avoid eating spicy or irritating foods, quit smoking and drinking, and avoid using irritating soaps, bath gels, and shower gels. Avoid scratching. When the itching becomes unbearable, you can divert your attention.

4. Pay attention to hygiene during menstruation, use qualified sanitary napkins, and avoid sexual intercourse during treatment.

5. All clothing, bed sheets and quilt covers should be used separately to prevent transmission within the family, especially for female infants or girls who are susceptible to infection.

Precautions: Pay attention to treating the primary disease, keep the vulva clean and dry, and do not wash it too frequently with soap.

Avoid alcohol and irritating food, and avoid scratching, rubbing, or washing with hot water.

Appropriate use of sedatives, safety drugs, and antihistamines can adjust mood, reduce anxiety and tension, and relieve itching.

Use topical antipruritic medication. The above measures are best carried out under the guidance of an experienced doctor in a regular hospital.

After discovering vulva itching, special attention should be paid to disinfecting the vulva, clothing, daily sanitary ware, and bedding. You can dilute it with a sanitary detergent such as Chlorhexidine and then soak and wipe it.
