Can I exercise during my period?

Female friends will have their periods every month, which is a very common phenomenon. Female friends will become very irritable during their periods, and their whole body will experience back pain. However, many female friends especially want to do some exercise at this time, but there are many exercises that cannot be done during menstruation. If you exercise during this period, it will cause some gynecological diseases, and even in more serious cases, it will lead to heavy bleeding.

You can do sports during menstruation, but it is best to pay attention to the following points when exercising during menstruation:

1. Avoid various water sports, such as swimming, water aerobics, etc., to avoid infection.

2. Reduce the amount of exercise. It is advisable to participate in some sports that you practice regularly, such as jogging, gymnastics, boxing, table tennis, basketball, etc.

3. Shorten the exercise time. Slow down and focus on recovery exercises. In terms of time, 10 to 30 minutes is appropriate depending on personal circumstances.

4. Avoid highly competitive competition.

Things you shouldn’t do during your period:

1. Waist pounding

When we have sore waist and swollen legs, we relieve the discomfort by beating the sore muscles. Similarly, many women also habitually beat their waists to relieve sore waist during menstruation.

But doing so would be a mistake. Gynecologists point out that the soreness and swelling in the waist during menstruation is caused by pelvic congestion. At this time, beating the waist will cause more congestion in the pelvis, which will in turn aggravate the soreness and swelling. In addition, beating the waist during menstruation is not conducive to the repair and healing of the wound after the endometrium is exfoliated, leading to increased bleeding and prolonged menstruation.

2. Physical examination

In addition to being unsuitable for gynecological examinations and urine tests, it is also not suitable to do blood tests, electrocardiograms and other examinations during menstruation. Because of the influence of hormone secretion at this time, it is difficult to obtain real data.

If you really want to do some exercise, you should shorten your exercise time and slow down during the exercise. Try not to do some high-intensity exercise. Basically, everyone's exercise time should be maintained at about 30 minutes, and it is best not to do any intense competitive sports. You can go jogging or play table tennis when appropriate.
