What is premature menopause?

Many female friends often find themselves experiencing premature menopause. This is related to many factors, so they still need to be vigilant. Generally speaking, amenorrhea occurs only after the ovarian function gradually declines and is completely lost, thus entering menopause. If the problem of amenorrhea occurs early, it is natural to consider whether there is any abnormality in the function of various reproductive organs. So what is the reason for early amenorrhea?

1. Ovarian abnormalities

If the ovaries cannot produce hormones, the endometrium will not change and menstruation will stop naturally, such as congenital ovarian dysplasia, premature ovarian failure, etc. Amenorrhea caused by this reason is often accompanied by underdeveloped or degenerated female characteristics. For example, breasts become equal.

2. Central nervous system causes

Includes the cerebrum and hypothalamus. They command the activities of the pituitary gland and indirectly control ovarian function. When the central nervous system is stimulated, changes in ovarian function can cause amenorrhea.

3. Pituitary lesions

It is also called pituitary amenorrhea. The pituitary gland is located below the brain. It is very small in size, but it controls the endocrine organs of the whole body. When the pituitary function changes, the ovarian function decreases. Common pituitary diseases include tumors and hypopituitarism.

4. Uterine problems

It is also called uterine amenorrhea. This is amenorrhea caused by problems with the uterus. For example, congenital absence of the uterus, uterine hypoplasia, or childhood diseases involving the endometrium, although the ovaries function well and female characteristics develop normally, they cannot respond to ovarian hormones and cause secondary amenorrhea.

5. Disease causes premature menopause

Wasting diseases, such as severe pulmonary tuberculosis and malnutrition, unique endocrine diseases, such as "obesity reproductive infertility", and the influence of some endocrine glands in the body, such as adrenal glands, thyroid gland, pancreas and other functional disorders. Due to the influence of these factors, menstruation often does not occur. For amenorrhea caused by any of these conditions, as long as the disease is cured, menstruation will return naturally.

Through the above introduction, everyone should have a clear understanding of what premature menopause is. Various reasons should not be underestimated. Only by regulating the body and constantly improving the functions of various organs, especially improving ovarian function, can we delay aging, maintain normal menstruation and delay the time of menopause.
