Painful false labor

Painful false labor

Uterine contraction is generally called uterine contraction. As we all know, there are pathological uterine contractions and false uterine contractions. Uterine contractions have a very serious impact on expectant mothers. It's very painful. So, why do false labor contractions also hurt? How to distinguish between true and false uterine contractions? Let’s take a look.

Why do false labors hurt?

Whether it is pathological uterine contraction or false uterine contraction, there will be abdominal pain when uterine contraction comes, but false uterine contraction will cause lower abdominal pain, which usually lasts only a few seconds and can last for several hours intermittently. It is not accompanied by a feeling of falling and the symptoms can be relieved during the day.

However, if the frequency of uterine contractions is around 10 times per hour, you should go to the hospital in time and have a doctor identify the characteristics of uterine contractions to avoid premature ejaculation. If uterine contractions are accompanied by obvious abdominal pain, such as pain that causes anxiety and affects work and life, you should go to the hospital immediately for medical treatment.

How to distinguish true and false uterine contractions

First, see if uterine contractions accompany the progress of delivery. If it is pathological uterine contraction, after several hours of uterine contraction, as the delivery progresses, the uterine contraction becomes more frequent, the intensity becomes stronger, the cervical opening will open, and the presenting part will decrease. The opposite is false labor.

Second, see if the mother can get enough rest. Generally speaking, if it is a false labor, when the uterus contracts, the pregnant woman can still get enough rest, but if the uterus contracts, she will not be able to sleep well due to the pain and discomfort of the contraction. Generally, if you still have difficulty falling asleep after taking super-strong sedatives, it may be pathological uterine contraction.

Third, seek medical advice when you are unsure. If you don't normally feel uterine contractions, but suddenly feel 4-6 uterine contractions per hour, and you can't tell whether they are pathological uterine contractions or false uterine contractions, you need to go to the hospital for a doctor to make a distinction. Generally, there are 4 labor contractions in 20 minutes. As the cervix opens and the presenting part descends, it can be identified as before labor. In addition, pathological uterine contractions before delivery are generally accompanied by symptoms such as "bloody spotting during pregnancy" and increased female secretions.

Some pregnant mothers will take various medicines to relieve pain when they experience uterine contractions. In fact, this is not possible, because all medicines are poisonous, which is not good for mother and baby. It is recommended to see a doctor as soon as possible, seek treatment in time, communicate more with the doctor, and protect the body regularly.
