What are the symptoms of vulvar hyperplasia

Vulvar hyperplasia is also known as vulvar leukoplakia. It is a common gynecological disease and is very harmful to women. This disease is relatively stubborn and treatment often takes a longer time. There are many symptoms of vulvar hyperplasia, such as vulvar itching and vulvar skin hyperplasia. In severe cases, ulcers may occur and secondary infections may occur, which often lead to symptoms of vulvar skin hyperplasia!

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia: 1. Vulvar itching: Vulvar itching is the first prominent symptom felt by patients, especially at night. The degree of itching is related to time, menstruation, climate, food, environment, and mood. Itching is usually intermittent and patients often scratch because of the itching.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia 2. Vulvar skin hyperplasia: localized or diffuse white thickening of the vulvar skin and mucosa, which is leathery, raised, wrinkled, or scaly and eczematous. The skin of the affected area is rough, lichenified, scratched, and sometimes cracked.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia 3. Vulvar skin discoloration: The vulvar skin color is mostly purple or light red, but can also be grayish white, grayish blue, mixed with clearly defined white keratotic plaques of varying shapes and sizes.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia 4. Vulvar atrophy: Mild atrophy can be seen on the vulva. In severe cases, the clitoris, labia majora and minora may atrophy and become adherent, and the labia minora may partially or completely disappear, and then tighten together. The vaginal opening may become narrow and lose its elasticity, and may even affect urination and sexual life.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia 5. Thickening and ulcers: Thickening and ulcers are mainly found in mixed vulvar leukoplakia, which has mixed symptoms of atrophic and hyperplastic types, with manifestations such as obvious atrophy of the vulva, thickening of the clitoral hood, obvious keratinization, coarse lines on the labia majora, hypopigmentation, and localized thickening and ulcers.

Symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia 6. Burning pain: Burning pain is mainly caused by scratching. There are many scratches, redness and swelling in the external vagina. As a result of long-term itching, local ulcers, fissures, ulcers and secondary infections occur, so patients often have local burning pain.
