What causes itchy nipples?

Some female friends may feel a little itchy in their nipples. Generally speaking, itchy nipples may be caused by wearing an unfixed bra or a bra made of poor fabric. These reasons will cause the nipples to be frequently stimulated. In order to avoid this phenomenon, you should buy a more fitted bra, and the bra you wear should not be too loose when exercising. Itchy nipples may be caused by inflammation. Please see the following introduction to itchy nipples.

Many women have hard lumps on their breasts, and they all suspect that they have breast hyperplasia. In fact, breast lumps are symptoms of many diseases, and breast hyperplasia is only one of the common causes. In addition, diseases such as mastitis and breast fibroids can also induce the occurrence of breast lumps. Therefore, when a breast lump appears, patients should go to the hospital for examination in time to determine the cause and proceed with the next step of treatment.

Generally speaking, if eczematous changes occur in the nipple and areola on one side and do not heal for a long time, there is a high possibility of eczematous cancer. The main symptoms are initial itching or mild burning pain of the nipple, followed by redness of the skin of the nipple and areola, mild erosion, and yellow-brown or gray scaly crusts often attached to the surface. The skin in the affected area is rough, thickened and hard, with a clear boundary with the surrounding area. Later, the nipple on the affected side may become sunken or eroded, or a hard lump may be felt in the breast.

In the early stages of eczematous breast cancer, when the lesions are limited to the nipple and areola and no lump has been felt in the breast, simple resection of the affected breast can produce good results. If a lump has already formed in the breast, the prognosis is poor and radical mastectomy is necessary. Therefore, timely diagnosis and treatment when the lesions are still in the early stages of eczematous changes on the nipple and areola is the key to achieving a better prognosis. In clinical practice, a biopsy should be considered for skin lesions of the nipple and areola that have not responded to treatment for more than 2 weeks to confirm the diagnosis.

Female friends with itchy nipples should pay attention to wearing well-fitting bras and keeping their nipples clean. They should wash their breasts at least once a day. They should also pay attention to improving their eating habits. They should not eat spicy food every day, and their diet should not be too monotonous. They should eat some whole grains.
