The so-called polycystic ovary obesity is because after suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, the patient's endocrine function becomes disordered, especially in women of childbearing age, the probability of this disease occurring is very high. Once the patient's endocrine disorder is caused by polycystic ovary syndrome, it can further affect the body's fat metabolism, further causing obesity, and may also lead to increased body hair, making women tend to be masculine. It is currently believed that the disease is not caused by a single factor, but is the result of the combined effects of genetic and environmental factors. Its exact cause needs further in-depth research. Clinically, PCOS is closely related to obesity. A retrospective study of PCOS patients showed that 67% of them were obese or overweight, and obese patients had more serious endocrine and metabolic disorders compared with non-obese patients. The relationship between obesity and PCOS can be discussed by exploring the possible role of obesity in the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of PCOS and the mechanism by which PCOS leads to obesity. This study aims to deepen the understanding of obese PCOS patients and point out that in addition to conventional treatment, lifestyle improvement and weight control are the most effective and convenient methods for obese PCOS patients and should be the first choice. In obese patients, especially those with central obesity, the fat cells in their abdomen are enlarged, the insulin receptors on the cell membrane are relatively reduced, the affinity is reduced, and the sensitivity to insulin is reduced, which leads to glucose metabolism disorders and increased blood sugar. High blood sugar stimulates pancreatic B cells to secrete more insulin, resulting in so-called "hyperinsulinemia". After the onset of polycystic ovary syndrome, the androgen in the body of patients will increase significantly, which will cause changes in the patient's physical characteristics. In addition, the synthesis of sex hormones in the body of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome will also increase. In addition to maintaining sexual characteristics, sex hormones can also promote the synthesis of fat in the female body, which leads to obesity. |
