What can I eat to relieve menstrual cramps?

Most women generally experience symptoms of dysmenorrhea during their menstrual period. Mild cases include abdominal distension and back pain, while severe cases include nausea, vomiting, and severe abdominal pain. This is mainly caused by the increase in hormone secretion in the body during menstruation. Therefore, to relieve the symptoms of dysmenorrhea, it is not recommended for women to take medicine first. If there are serious symptoms such as unbearable pain, they should go to the hospital to see a doctor immediately. They can usually perform self-conditioning. In terms of diet, it is recommended to eat some fish oil, which can inhibit the increase of hormones that cause dysmenorrhea. At the same time, eat some soybeans, peanuts, walnuts, and fish to relieve dysmenorrhea symptoms. You can also drink some brown sugar water to promote the discharge of menstrual blood.

1. Eat less sweet or salty foods: because they will make you bloated and slow down your movements. You should eat more vegetables, fruits, chicken, fish, and try to eat small meals frequently.

2. Pay attention to dietary taboos: Try not to eat raw, cold, spicy and other irritating foods before and during menstruation, such as ice cream, barbecue, chili peppers, etc.

3. Do not eat foods containing caffeine: it will make you nervous and cause discomfort during menstruation. The oil contained in coffee will also irritate the small intestine.

4.Diet therapy:

(1) Milk and honey

Drinking a glass of hot milk with a spoonful of honey before going to bed every night can relieve or even eliminate the pain of dysmenorrhea, and the effect is excellent.

(2) Eat more bananas

Bananas contain vitamin B6, which can stabilize mood and relieve abdominal pain. You may want to eat more of them when you suffer from dysmenorrhea.

The cause of dysmenorrhea is that women have cold uterus. In addition to eating more foods that have warming and nourishing effects, they should also pay attention to keeping warm and preventing cold. The lower body is a part that people tend to neglect to keep warm. Many women often wear skirts when the weather is cold, and it seems like nothing happens. However, the cold air invades the uterus and causes dysmenorrhea when menstruation comes. Therefore, it is recommended that women dress warmly in cold weather.
