Gua Sha is a form of health care that is currently recognized by many people. Many friends will choose to treat it through scraping when they have some discomfort in their body. In fact, there are many taboos in scraping, especially for pregnant women. Improper scraping may cause some discomfort to the fetus. Therefore, pregnant women must abide by many taboos when scraping. Gua Sha is based on the twelve meridians and eight extraordinary meridians in traditional Chinese medicine and follows the principle of "treating the symptoms in an emergency". It uses manipulation techniques to strongly stimulate the meridians, causing the local skin to become red and congested, thereby having the effects of awakening the mind, rescuing fainting, detoxifying and removing evil, clearing away heat and relieving exterior symptoms, promoting qi and relieving pain, and strengthening the spleen and stomach. Gua Sha has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. For the health of your children and yourself, it is recommended not to shave. Will there be sha after scraping? After scraping, red, purple, black spots or black blisters will appear on the skin surface, which is called "sha". This is a normal reaction after scraping and will disappear on its own after a few days without requiring any special treatment. The depth of the color of the erythema usually reflects the severity of the disease. The more serious the disease, the more "sha" will appear and the darker the color will be. For some patients who have no sha or little sha, you cannot force them to have sha. The principle is to make the patients feel comfortable. Which scraping tool is best to use? Anything with a smooth edge, such as a comb, a spoon, etc., can be used for scraping. Of course, if used for a long time or as a treatment, it is better to use a more formal scraping board. The scraping board is made of natural buffalo horn, which has no toxic stimulation and adverse chemical reaction to the human skin surface. It is also a traditional Chinese medicine with cooling, detoxifying, blood circulation and nourishing effects. Before scraping, in order to prevent the skin from being scratched, a layer of lubricant should be applied on the skin surface. It is best to use special scraping oil. If in emergency, you can occasionally replace it with vegetable oil, water, etc. What should you pay attention to during and after scraping? When scraping in summer, avoid direct exposure of fans to the scraping area. Avoid taking a cold shower within 30 minutes after scraping. It is not advisable to scrape the same area again before the sha spots on the area from the previous scraping treatment have disappeared. It is best to drink a cup of warm water (preferably light sugar and salt water) after scraping and rest for 15 to 20 minutes. When women are pregnant, they must choose a more mature institution to do it, and they should also pay attention to the time of scraping. After closing the wound, it is best to rest for about half an hour. At this time, you can drink some warm water appropriately, and try not to come into contact with raw water, especially do not take a cold shower immediately after scraping. |
