What can't pregnant women eat after giving birth?

Although it is important to improve your body after childbirth, not all foods can be eaten casually. Sometimes the food is too hard and rough, making it difficult for the mother to digest it. Instead, the food accumulates in the gastrointestinal tract and causes abdominal bloating in the mother. These foods should not be eaten. In addition, women should not eat and drink too much after giving birth, otherwise their weight will increase rapidly, which is not conducive to maintaining their body shape. So what should women not eat after giving birth? I will introduce it below.

After delivery, on the basis of a normal diet, appropriately limit fat. Within one week after surgery, fat should be controlled at around 80 grams per day. People with menstrual disorders should avoid eating irritating foods, such as chili peppers, wine, vinegar, pepper, ginger, etc. These foods can stimulate congestion of the sexual organs and increase menstrual volume. They should also avoid eating cold foods such as crabs, snails, and clams.

After delivery, do not eat or eat less greasy, raw and cold food. Avoid eating radish, hawthorn, bitter melon, orange and other foods that regulate qi, promote blood circulation, and are cold in nature.

Ginseng replenishes qi and stops bleeding. During the period of hospitalization after giving birth, lochia begins to be discharged. Taking ginseng (Korean red ginseng) will reduce the amount of blood loss, making it difficult to discharge lochia, causing blood clots to stagnate in the uterus and causing abdominal pain. In severe cases, there may be incomplete placental detachment, causing heavy bleeding. Therefore, you must wait until about the second or third week after delivery, when the blood clots are gone, before taking ginseng tea.

After giving birth, you should avoid eating cold fruits and vegetables, such as watermelon, papaya, grapefruit, pomelo, pear, star fruit, orange, tomato, cantaloupe, cantaloupe, etc.

It should be noted that women should not drink alcohol or eat spicy food after giving birth. After giving birth, you should eat some nourishing food, such as yam chicken soup, or fish soup and pork ribs soup. Among vegetables and fruits, you can eat loofah, lotus root and winter melon. In addition, eating some vegetable and tofu soup has a good effect of removing heat and can prevent postpartum heat.
